What size for the coffee table?

I love those lamps and you need a TV stand that will compliment them.

@shirlpp I am not sure what size I want. And yes, the current tv stand needs to go! I need an idea for that too. right now only the current TV and lamps are staying!

I recommend you do a measured layout of your room and measure the pieces you're keeping to help you furnish your space. Post the layout if you can. It'll help people offer personalized advice. The size convention for a coffee table is 2/3 the length of the sofa and as high as its cushions (give or take a couple of inches). How many people will need to reach it? How much clearance do you need for everyone to reach their seat when others are seated and be seated comfortably? Shape? (With a small sectional, I could see a round table but that might not be big enough for everyone to reach requiring an end table.) What type of material were you wanting for this table? How will you be using it? (Put up your feet while watching TV, strictly food and drinks, etc.?)

What type of TV stand/media console would you like/need? Closed storage? It's recommended that it be wider than the TV by a few inches so that it looks balanced. How large is the TV wall? How wide is the TV?

I would recommend a round coffee table but get the rug first.

We will have at most 6-8 people in the house maybe once or twice a year. i would say they all need to reach for a drink. A smaller end table between two accent chairs may help with that. As far as coffee tables, I’m open to any idea. When looking at pictures, I like round tables or tufted ottomans am serving as a coffee table. The coffee table will be used to have objects on it. Candles, drinks, flowers, etc. I am looking for a closed storage tv stand. Not sure what color to get. Thought of a medium to dark wood or white. The TV wall is 164inches wide. TV is 60 inches

@Yayagal great idea. Any idea on what type of area rug to get? I was thinking this just because it had the colors I wanted but another user stated to get something neutral

You'd change the pillows on the sofa to accommodate this pattern.

@shirlpp i don’t plan to use the pillows at all. They will come with the couch. Plan to give them away. Looking to add a combination of white, teal and mustard pillows.

Concerning the rug, you can upload your sofa to sites like www.rugs.com and www.rugsusa.com to insert different rugs under the sofa. This would be helpful to see what compliments the sofa.
