Coffee table suggestions
Building new home and need help on coffee table type and size. Don't have pics of current furniture but hope this helps. I have (2) 88inch sofas that are a grey/silver and will have them L shaped vs across from each other. Also have (2) navy high back chairs. Will get a very light rug but need help on
stain on coffee table. Floors are dark black/ brown hardwoods, Fireplace light stone will have white shutters. Trying to decide between a grey wood or brownish/black. Will also need a small media cabinet by Fireplace so do I keep them in the same color family? Have a brushed silver light fixture and I am transitional style. I have looked at mix of metals and wood. Don't want concrete or shagreen. Attached is photo of bare floors and fireplace. Roomis 21x19. Looking at square tables, would 60" be too large?

6 years agoI love you house! Well I would say black however that might clash with your navy Chairs. So maybe white? Black would look nice, though.

6 years agoI like using things that aren't coffee tables as coffee tables like ottomans or two small tables pushed together. I took an old chest from a thrift store, sanded it down and painted it white. I placed glass on the top and it made the perfect coffee table.

Comments (7)The sofa/loveseat looks very alone on the wall. What is on the other wall parallel to the small sofa? If there is room, I would move it there and make a tighter seating arrangement and keep both sofas front legs on the rug. Any chance you might be able to pull the sofas away from the wall? Although I love being able to put my feet up, I decided to go with these nesting tables. Comments (6)May be just an issue with the photo but the wall covering behind the basket looks to be poorly installed. I would pull the sectional forward to cover that, place the floor lamp in the right corner and buy a sofa table to put between the sofa and window. I'd want the rug to slip completely under the chaise portion and then under the front 1/3 of the 4-seat section. I would select a round table. 6 years agoBeautiful space! I love the colour palette you've gone with. I'd go with a table like this one from Uttermost. I think the scale and finish is perfect for the room and transitional style you're going for. Can't wait to see what you go with!

6 years agoAfter much thought I went with a table I saw in a model home to go with the chairs and sofa I have at this point. Table is 60x60 and works well in this big family room. My light fixture is a silver light (to be added soon), no ceiling fan in this room. Here is the room in development, need end tables, rug and lamps, shutters are on their way. Open concept showing kitchen and nook as well. Love all your suggestions and any other ideas are very helpful.... Will add in some Grey and one other minor color??????? Suggestions?

6 years agook, i would want to put a touch of gold in there.
I stay under $150. But I was shopping with someone who had more money and had a couple really nice larger ovals for under $300. I did not keep due to price, but considering above price, I can look up if you want.
