I agree, gray would work. (so would a grayish white). Dove has a tad more blue to it than Silverado.

TEC Power Grout has a Mist color, or Silver, that could work. on this one, Silverado is quite a bit diff looking.

Your best bet is take some scrap cuttings of the tile and do a sample board of the grout colors.

BTW, are these cement or porcelain tiles?

thank you so much! They are cement. Unfortunately I can't make sample boards because I have to make design choices before the home is built. It is being built by a production builder.

I like how you added the grout choices to the tile! How did you do that?! I agree silverado looks a bit off with it too.

Is the blue color in dove gray bad or good for this tile?

If your bathroom is going to look like the one pictured, I stay w/a neutral gray. They used a medium gray in the picture you posted. I like the Standard Gray on the colors I posted.

The more I see these w/the gray, I think I like a darker color. or the white.

I used black on mine. Mapei FlexColor CQ, and had to pipe it in the joints so as not to stain. even with sealing, it will suck up the color from the edges. takes time to do it right.

This is so much help. Thank you!!! The way my bathroom floor is the tile will go all the way to shower floor with no separation, so the design center suggested I use the same grout on the shower floor as I am on the bathroom floor. That is why I wanted to use a light gray. I don't want white, and I do like the black but I didn't want black in my shower. The shower walls will be 4x16 Subway and shower floor is white hex.

Beth H. I did a visualizer with similar color tile using black grout. On my tile the corners that come together are black pieces like this picture I'm posting. Also similar to yours. My shower will be like the picture you posted with the white vanity...no separation. I do like the black I think, but will that work with shower floor?

The white looks best to me because it becomes more part of your pattern. I know you said you don’t want white, but why not? Black would be second choice. If your tile is porcelain, black wouldn’t be as hard to use. But if the tile is ceramic, I don’t use ceramic fir flooring. Cracks too easily.

I'd do black floor, grey shower. A white or lighter grout WILL end up looking black'ish eventually in those high traffic areas.

I can't tell you how many houses I looked at that had two toned grout; the high traffic areas had dark brown while the edges of the rooms would be light tan.

You won't have to get down on your hands and knees with a toothbrush trying to clean the white/light grout saving your knees and back for years to come.

Silverado becomes a cement color. We used it in our master, but our tiles are all gray.

My personal preference is keeping the grout color the same for the floor and shower. Will you be tiling the shower floor as well?

We used bright white for our kitchen backsplash. I was told that the other whites turn yellow, which seems to be the case now I see the chart.

Eld6161 yes we will be tiling the shower floor. I want to use silverado in the shower and I wanted to also use it on the tile floor if it works. like you I prefer all the same!
