What's your budget for sprucing to sell? Rather than painting the cabinets, you could get new doors and veneer the frames - there are internet sources for the supplies that cost a lot less than the companies that sell that service, and it's not a difficult DIY project. Replacement framed shower doors can be gotten stock from HD pretty inexpensively. The tile being neutral is probably good for resale - I'd take that as the color pallette and make it look planned. What color is the counter top - looks like an ivory - that would work with beige neutrals, too. If you can change the cab doors and frame to a stained wood that blends and a beige/ivory neutral scheme, then you could use a couple of 'staging props' of green and have it looks like the planned 'spa naturals' trend. That would go well with the Green Tea MB, I think. I'd definitely change out the big mirrors - I still see them on Houzz from time to time, but to me they really look like the 80's without a frame. Cutting them down to allow you to frame them with picture moulding (stained to match cab's) on the sides and top is an inexpensive option, too, that could be made to look 'custom planned'. It's no harder to cut mirror than any other type of non-tempered glass, just remember to stop by a hobby shop first and pick up some fixative to spray on the mirrored back before cutting (this keeps the mirror finish from being damaged.) Decorative moulding to make the frames is also pretty inexpensive at HD and Lowes, and mitering for the corners is also pretty easy. Just a few ideas off the top - not exciting, I know...

I understand why some folks say wait a year for a major remodel. I moved into my house in May. There were some things about the house I really thought I couldn't live with but after some time they don't bother me. However, I only have one full bath and I knew from the start I wanted to install a master bathroom. But the process of designing, getting bids, getting permits, ordering materials, and then scheduling the work doesn't happen overnight. I have a contractor and he had the designer he works with come over to discuss the bath back in June. She came up with some options and that took a few weeks to decide on the plan. Then my contractor was on vacation so took a couple of weeks to come up with the bid. I said was ready to begin. The contractor and designer just came back last week to finalize the plans. The building permit takes 6-8 weeks in my city and we have to decide on and order materials so the work probably won't start until January so that they won't be destroying my house over the holidays. So if I would you I would go ahead and have a designer give you some options. You and your husband will figure out pretty quickly whether you really need to expand the bath or not. I like plain 12 x24 porcelian tile for the main bathroom floor and the shower walls. Not sure what you mean by pony wall and where that will be .If you post a floor plan you will get much better help. an 8’ shower is IMO too big to ever warm up in the time of a regular shower. What is the wood look tile for? Where are you planning the accent tile to be? I need to see a to scale floor plan with maybe on just the fllor plan and the other with what you are planning.Mark all windows droorways and the plumbing at least for the toilet unless you are planning on moving that , which BTW is expensive . Mark all measurements clearly and I suggest you use graph paper it makes scale easier to do. As for all the tiles you have posted please label them as to where each will go. What I see of the bedroom looks very rustic , is that the look you want for the bathroom, maybe post pictures of the bedroom since IMO the 2 spaces should be in the same general style.

Your bathroom is not that big - It's about the size of the master bath I recently remodeled. I used the same tile for the shower floor and bathroom floor in order to not chop up the space. Even if not identical I would think a tile that didn't contrast as much would create more of an illusion of space. I do agree that there are a multitude of tiles and choosing among so many beautiful options is hard. I went for a period look with marble basket weave tile but my inspiration photos truly ran the gamut. In my next life I wouldn't mind a full on mid-century modern look :-)
