Comments (4)Thanks everyone. olychick, your too funny! thanks for the laugh. it's as if you can read my mind. can we say crazy?lol snookums, I was thinking that too. In fact she did pick a slightly darker green. I just wanted something different yet blended. She has a huge A-frame house and mine is old weird add ons different looking house. So at least it wont be like twins sort of thing. cyn427, There's lots of trees and a couple of acres that separate our houses, It's really hard to see her house when the trees have leaves, it just I'll know, and she'll know. And so will our mutual friends. lol She's a sweetheart, so I doubt she'll be upset (to my face). ugh! the real problem is me. I wanna be different...waaah. I've been living in this old run down house for 19yrs and finally have the opportunity to make it look great, and she did what I've been dreaming of doing. She and her family have been friendly neighbors since we moved here. I'm talking best neighbors you could dream of neighbors. They're quiet, keep to themselves, let us use their land etc. They used to buy my kids presents for holidays when they were little. you know awesome old people. lol. I'm going with the lighter gray green. She can have the cypress. It really looks great on her house. :) or maybe that cape cod looking blue thats all the rage.lol :) Laura...See MoreWHat color roof for tan siding with green/red accents?
Comments (6)thanks everyone. I am just worried about Summer Haravest I don't want to feel like I am living in a fun house...But I do love it! I think I might just going basic shades of brown/tan. Boring for me but in the 3d new look I think it will BLEND into my house rather than making the roof the first thing you see...thanks again....See MoreHome Exterior Help Brown/Red Tile Roof
Comments (2)Revere Pewter might be a possibility. Seapearl could be better as trim since it will likely lighten up quite a bit on the exterior. Whatever you decide, I would paint the garage door the same color as the siding to pull some focus off of it. Something light, like Seapearl or White Dove, could help pull the front door out of the shadows. That's the area I would want fo get as much attention as possible instead of the garage. It's hard to tell for sure...is your current siding kind of a gray/green? That's a shade that can work nicely with a red/brown roof color....See MoreCompletely stuck on siding & trim color w/red brick and "autumn" roof
Comments (16)jlcbm,,,i'd prob redo the garage area like this. (those clipped edges around the door and arched window are really dated) Doesn't this look better? square window in tihe black trim (this is if you go w/the dark trim option). the siding on the garage area is changed to a composite shingle/shake. new lights, and much better looking garage door. carriage hardware makes a big diff if you have a plain jane door like you have. on this one, a wood arbor buys up some of that huge space another door option w/the black hardware. you could also do the siding over here in a birck and batten panel, or vertical siding, or shake or both. across the middle below the window do a divider you could also do the siding over here in a birck and batten panel, or vertical siding, or shake or both. I love this one. see how they divided the gable portion w/vertical and horizontal? this is a grate, but you could square off your window. across the middle below the window do a divider. they did a thick white band above. smaller siding and composite shake. they have a small roof overhang, but you could do something diff These are the bronze colors. In any case, square off the clipped edges and do a diff window...See Morecalidesign
