Paint Design Dilemma Exterior

Home Exterior Help Brown/Red Tile Roof

Hi,

We are finally getting around to improving the landscaping and repainting the exterior of our home. The house is a 2 story house, north facing with a large brown/reddish tile roof. We are currently thinking of BM Seapearl for the body, BM Sparrow for the gutters, and BM Pashmina for the Trim. Our second option is BM Revere Pewter on the Body and BM Seapearl or White Dove for the Trim. We have a dark wood brown door and are considering an accent color that may lightened up the entrance. Also, we are not sure if we should paint the garage the same body color or the trim color. Any advice would be very appreciated.

Revere Pewter might be a possibility. Seapearl could be better as trim since it will likely lighten up quite a bit on the exterior. Whatever you decide, I would paint the garage door the same color as the siding to pull some focus off of it. Something light, like Seapearl or White Dove, could help pull the front door out of the shadows. That's the area I would want fo get as much attention as possible instead of the garage.

It's hard to tell for sure...is your current siding kind of a gray/green? That's a shade that can work nicely with a red/brown roof color.

Your color choices are all good.

If you go with Revere Pewter then check coordinating colors on BM painters site

Your home is just fine. I like the color on it now but I think a different color on the trim and garage doors than bright white would make it work better with the roof. I have a neighbor with a red metal roof which looks great with her stone siding which is shades of golden yellow, amber, tan & cream. It is raining now or I would go grab a picture. I'll try later.

Some great suggestions already! I would try out a few light colors to see how they look, maybe a sage, light blue, cream and blue-gray and choose one for the whole house. IMO lose the shutters they really are not needed then you have free rein as to color I happen to like what you have so maybe a bit more info as to the need to change colors.
