light blue paint ideas for north facing kitchen

I'd appreciate ideas for light warm blue paint colour for kitchen cabinets respray. There is a strong orange toned maple floor in the kitchen and its faces north. The worktop is a sand colour (omega F070). I'd like to match the tiles colour with a soft warm white, as well as the walls.

The photo below might show what I'm thinking. We have the a similar layout in the kitchen.

I agree with herbflavor. A new countertop and leave the cabinets. Your cabinets look very nice.

Folks will scoff at what I'm about to say, but I tell ya - I had the exact same problem you're experiencing with a north-facing living room. I even tried some of the same colors as you did: I wanted a very light greige, but kept getting purple, mustard or green. And believe it or not, after weeks of frustration and tears, I abandoned SW and BM and ended up going with a Behr Marquee color. The color of the swatch was the same as the sample was the same in the paint can. I ended up with exactly what I was going for and it came out gorgeously! I look at them and appreciate and love them every day! Anyway, take that for what it's worth: and good luck!!

Why do you feel you need to consider colors that you dont like? Houses are to be enjoyed by the people that live there. You dont have to be trendy. Personally, I dislike anything tan, or beige, greige or green, so no matter how trendy, I wouldnt use them anywhere in my house. I do like gray, but that gray paint must look gray, and if any undertones, they must be blue, not the purple or green that some grays have. Put colors on your wall, that appeal to you, and that will make you smile. I use a lot of turquoise in different shades, because it makes me happy. Apparently, it makes others happy too, since I recently had someone tell me, they liked coming in my house, and found themselves staying longer than they meant to because, the colors make them happy and make them feel good.

Have a peep at 868 Mountain Mist by Benjamin Moore. It can be a little ethereal, depending on the light. Pretty. It’s very similar to Farrow & Ball’s Borrowed Light. They are both from the Blue-Green Hue Family.

i wouldnt alter the cabinets. I'd do a whitish counter and backsplash .The inspiration is a much larger space. Your kitchen is smaller/more compact I'd stay with the one tone finish. Focus on counter and backsplash/ maybe new hardware.

Orange and blue each intensify the other’s color. If you want to make that floor look really orange, you pick blue cabinets. If you want to minimize orange, you pick a similar color, in a different value. Like SW Creamy. If you want to update without spending 7K having them painted, put that 7K into new lighting, and a different counter. You’ll get a much better result.
