Questions about Total Parental Nutrition (TPN)

I heard @roseseek (Kim) mention about TPN (Total Parental Nutrition) and how it can bulk up a plant by quite a lot given favorable weather. Here (in India, where I live), the plants I get from online orders are usually small and take quite a while to grow into a decent sized bush. So I wanted to try this out. However I have a few questions

1) I don't have access to miracle gro (unless I import it). I only have access to Urea, NPK 19-19-19 (that has Muriate of Potash), Muriate of Potash and FACTOMFOS 20-20-0 (Ammonium Sulphate, Ammonium Phosphate mixture). These are high salt fertilizers (works in my very rainy environment). So is there a risk of salt buildup if I use them on a pot? How much EC should my fertilizer solutions ideally be before I cause root burns?

2) Since I am cutting off my buds, is there a need for the Potassium nutrient in my feed program?

3) Is a foliar program good enough compared to the root zone treatment?

4) Are there other resources on TPN like programs that I can read about? Blog posts, papers on the subject, anything like that?
