Fresh flowers are IMO the only way to go and I would probably do whaite lilies , roses or any other white flowers , Go to the florist and see what you like but please only fresh .

I don't think that glass vase will work for your arrangement. What do you plan to use to secure the stems that won't be seen through the glass. Unless you hide the constructions with artificial fruit

Have you considered a floral 'construction' for the table? More structure than a simple arrangement but very dramatic.

I think you’re asking for disaster with that tall glass vase with kids and pets. And fresh is always best. Watering is better than dusting a fake plant in my opinion. Maybe an orchid arrangement.

I'm not a fan of orchids, mainly because they take so long to bloom, and only bloom for a short time. Then you're stuck with a dead looking plant for a year. maybe if you're lucky it will bloom again in a year. otherwise you're buying orchids every month.
I would consider wood flowers. I'm not as opposed to fake as others on this forum. I have a felt flower bouquet from a friend's wedding on my dining table now (obviously doesn't look real but I think it's still cool). I think wood flowers are beautiful and a bit of art as well.

I think you need a solid vase over the glass table top. If you find a good vase you can take it to a shop to have them fill it with a nice faux orchid.

Yes, I think it should be taller and wider, look at some of the arrangements here on Houzz for some ideas. The prices I see for Jenny Silks are high, much higher than in their shop. I've never bought arrangements from them, but I've bought a tree in person.

I agree with using a solid vase since you have a glass top. Check out etsy for wood flowers. they're really gorgeous and some of the sellers provide vases as well.

That’s a great point maybe I should leave it alone all in its glory !!! I love it so much took me a year to find the right piece for the space that was to scale and original . Someone needs to tap into that market of round glass high end contemporary foyer tables Horchow pretty much has the lock on that market and they are always sold out . There are plenty of end tables coffee tables console tables but not tables meant to be foyer , entry way , hall way, center table , you literally have to do like 4 different key word searches

I'd top that with black glass in a single heartbeat. It's about the base............not the clear glass. : ) Get an electrical outlet behind, and add a gorgeous lamp.

Will have a more "important" size impression as well. Forgive the art. Add some fine curly willow to loosen the orchid.......use a large SILVERY pot.: )

Bet you could even flip that table over, allowing that fatter silver detail edge to show at the base.

All this metal accent stuff comes from China. .........the glass top allows them to call it as they want: ) If the top was cut to FIT the base?It's a cool end table. ......yes, you bet. Making the inexpensive glass larger allowed it to show as entry table or centre table on a search. Either way, the price is in the base. Add an even larger top? It's a dining base.

I really hope the glass table top is tempered glass, and as a general rule please refrain from glass tables, etc. with young children afoot.

I would suggest a vase that is not glass - with an arrangement of fresh eucalyptus. Real cut stems. You can change them out from time to time.

Or - for faux - a very good quality tropical arrangement.

I think positive about your idea to get some sculpture. You can use both plants and sculpture.

That table is gorgeous, so I wouldn't put anything too complex on top of it, but something that's still dramatic. The base is already a sculpture.

I think the suggestion of an opaque vase of some kind with perhaps a foliage only arrangement or something a big monochromatic.

You have a gorgeous space for a potted Areca palm on that table. Your beautiful glass vase would work better in another location.

I would try a solid vase with tall branches, some of the orchid options posted earlier, or you can try a taller live plant that does well in low light, in an interesting vase. The greenery will liven the space and soften all the hard surfaces.

How about something matte black to pick up the black of your table, and also the other black accents in your room? If you have something the right size and shape, just spray paint it matte black.

I think you need something soft like a plant or flowers with hard floor, hard table and top, you even have hard railing behind it. JMHO
