Comments (5)I had thought about finding some carpet and having it bound.. will have to look into it. where would I take the runner from HD to be bound - any carpet place? I will have to look into those.. I did at one time but didn't know what I would do with the unfinished edges?...See MoreFlokati/shag runner rug for a long hallway-- what do you think?
Comments (18)You've gotten all the choices so far. I can only add one more thing. Can you become very, very good friends with your neighbor? Somehow if she knows you and your cat, the noise won't be as disturbing. I can't imagine your cat running for hours on end. Also, if you get to know your neighbor, you too can be more considerate of distracting your cat when you know your neighbor is still sleeping, or having friends over etc. She too will understand the need for your cat to play, at least sometimes. We have noisy side neighbors. My neighborhood is turning over to young families which is fine. And, I don't mind hearing kids shout while they play. But….it is the dad that is the issue. They play soccer I think and if a kids doesn't hit a goal the dad yells OOOOOOOOooooooo. But in a friendly way, like you almost got it! One day, this went on for two hours. I timed it. There is nothing we can do, and luckily we have breaks when they are not in the yard. It just shows you how one family's enjoyment can greatly be affected.by another....See More4 boob lights --3 bedrooms and 1 hallway--NONE MATCH
Comments (10)The hallway looks under lit, I would install a 4” flush can there and add one or two more in the same hallway to even out the light (they are cheap and easy to Install) If you like warm traditional lighting make sure the cans are 2700 or 3000 kelvin. That frees you up in the bedrooms to get anything you want. Some people like ceiling fans in bedrooms too......See MoreHow long should my hallway runner be?
Comments (10)Unfortunately, with a 3 year old lab who chases my kids and a creaky floor, we want to put a runner down to help with the noise and prevent it from being all scratched up. The runner on the stairs helped so much, so we like to do something upstairs to help too. CDR Design, our hallway is only 35.5 inches wide. If I get a 14 inch and center it then it will be halfway between two of the bedroom doorways. I thought I read that you should not have it start or end in the middle of a doorway??...See MoreGato Playa
