Seems that I've seen reference to an app or site where you can post an image from the web and it'll tell you the source or origination of the image. The page where I see the image is pretty blank other than this picture and a number of headings with no content. I'm trying to find the dress in this link. Any thoughts?

It’s a Chinese website. Chances are you’ll never find the exact dress and no way is buy from this place.

The supplier is noted at the bottom of the photo - DHgate.com. This is a Chinese online vendor that offers cut rate clothing and products and many - if not most - of these Asian sources provide really inferior products and offer dismal to nonexistent customer service.

Thank you Mary, just found the way to Translate!! quickly too, via Hyperlink. Type in the words in the upper right hand corner bar ( there'll be W at the end), scroll down to Translate, then to From English or other language, then scroll to what language to translate it into. Nice. It won't be till October for mine. I also have RiXiangGui which is supposed to be better than Fudingzhu when it comes to more days of blooming. I've had them in the ground since last winter. I'm curious to see how they perform when weather cools down next month. Believe it or not I have rebloomer orange type that I got from Nurseries Caroliniana. What was shocking is that they do actually bloom when small!

From what I've experienced, RU damage shows stunted growth, wispy like leaves not usually red. RRD shows very aggressive growth, rubbery like canes, distorted buds. Also, as you have noticed, the RRD growth is larger than the cane it comes from. Here is a picture of a 'no doubt' RRD: Here is one I found early, removed the cane, and still have the rose: Here is one I had this year. The middle cane is normal, the one's on either side have RRD: Here is a picture of what I believe is RU damage. I know I used some near this rose. I still have the rose, and it's never shown any RRD type symptoms. There was one cane, towards the front that has very wispy leaves: I have seen some pictures of RU damage that can look more like RRD, but I haven't seen it in my yard.

With the way people are, all you have to do is send an email to a few people and tell them that the thing is filled with gold, tell them to send the email to everyone they know and there will be thousands of people out there with catcher's mitts and would elbow you out of the way to have it land on them. The way to do an image search is through Google images. Click on the little camera icon, and then insert the URL or upload your photo. I did that for your picture, and it came up with a lot of Chinese ecommerce sites. As 1929Spanish and gardengal say, beware!

I did see the website name DHgate.com on the page/photo. When I went to that site it was clear that I didn't want to deal with them. However, I'm thinking that that must be an actual dress and that they stole the photo, so that source is what I'm trying to find.

So this is just a thought, but while the dress is really pretty, the pattern looks to be fairly simple. You might be better off buying the fabric and having it made for you. IMO it would be a real plus to be able to pick your fabrics and colors.

Thanks, everyone. I'm in my 60s, and am going to be married. I SO don't want a traditional 20-something wedding (not that there's anything wrong with those). I want to find an appropriate dress.

Congratulations! Do you have any bridal shops nearby that are taking precautions so that you could see things in person? Some mother of the bride dresses might be more suitable.

Congratulations Suzieque! I didn’t get married until my 40’s so I totally get it. And after being in too many weddings, I hated the thought of going to a bridal shop. I was lucky to find a beautiful dress on eBay.

I second Nordstrom as a possibility. If you can describe the options that appeal to you, we might be able to crowdsource it here.

We’re a bunch of pro-level shopppers!

I've never ordered from AliExpress. I appreciate a good deal but I'm usually too impatient to wait for an item to arrive from China.

I suspect buying from AliExpress is more of a gamble quality-wise. Possibly in the case of a wedding dress, a gamble best left to an importer?
