As far as the table and chairs, I’d look at something transitional in style. Your cabinets are very traditional so to me that sets the stage as to a style. I think the current table is too sleek and modern. I would try to incorporate the wood of your cabinets whether in the table itself or the chair legs and then adding white. For color you could add an area rug or colored chairs. Or you may want to add some color on the back wall. For the light, I’d go with a ceiling mounted, drum shade light.

Right now everything in your room is warm and your counters and proposed backsplash are cool. Your idea of adding a white table is a good way to make the warm and cool look cohesive. A runner in front of your sink with a white accent would help pull the tones together as well.

When you are looking at tile samples be sure to look at them in your home in your light to be sure that the whites work together. I would consider a crackle or fireclay tile as well. They will add some interest and texture without being too bossy.

A great help are inspiration pictures and save the ideas; you’ll soon see what you are leaning towards in regards to an overall feel you want for the dining area and specific choices. You can’t go wrong with white subway and look into crackled, beveled as well and when testing them out in kitchen, see what pattern appeals to you.

To help, here are a few ideas (I love the banquette). Coordinate working side by adding a color coordinated washable runner (will also break up expanse of tile), changing hardware and adding bamboo blinds on sliding door and window will finish things off Good luck.

What color should i paint walls? Should i use back wall with sun as an accent wall? I am adding white crown molding above sliding door.
