We’re ahead of you so the brouhaha is pretty much over. Friday my co-workers had a birthday cake for me and one who is also a keen knitter as I am gave me some wool she had hand dyed herself. It’s really pretty and I’m looking forward to knitting it up.

On Saturday DH took me to get lunch at our favourite cheap and cheerful cafe, which we took to the park and enjoyed the sunshine. Later in the afternoon we drove down to the city to pick up dinner from our favourite Thai restaurant and took it to my MIL’s place to share with family.

It was a gentle day but one I enjoyed very much. Hope Ashley‘s day went as happily :-)

Here the Governor just lifted some requirements and we are now allowed to have indoor gatherings of no more than 10 and outdoor gatherings of no more than 100 as long as everyone stays 6 feet apart. Restaurants are not open to indoor dining until tomorrow and the Upper Peninsula is "open" but the campgrounds are not going to open until June 22. They had planned on taking the camper and going north for a weekend, but couldn't find an open campground, so they went to "Plan B".

Amanda and Makayla came over and went fishing with Ashley while Madi and Maci swam in the pond, caught frogs and threw sticks for their dog, who would NOT go into the pond over her head, no matter how they coaxed, LOL. They picked some mizuna and bok choi from the hoop house as well as the asparagus and we made a big salad, sauteed the asparagus and I put some chicken in the oven. The little girls made a loaf of beer bread and we had that cake.

We walked across the pasture to the barns and the girls played with the pullets who are about 9 weeks old now, and checked for a calf, which has not been born yet, but soon. They "foraged" some plantain for the bee sting Maci got and some red clover for a tea, Ashley is just "getting into" herbal tonics and remedies.

When they went home they left me with all the wet clothes that had been worn into the pond and the little girls were both wearing my t-shirts, LOL. I'll be doing laundry today after I get some gardening done.

I hope you are knitting with your new yarn, enjoying leftover Thai food and just relaxing...
