Tofu Making — Do I need to buy or make a press?

I do not was to buy BIG CHEAT MEAT from exploitation packers who do not provide safe distancing, ventilation, breaks, hand washing and PPE protective wear or conditions for their workers. The work is already low paying and dangerous.

I’m going to increase my love of tofu and local grass fed protein.

It seems that the recipe for bean curd involves grinding soy beans, filtering, straining and using gypsum or a coagulant (? Wrong term?). I’ve seen where it’s poured into a form and pressed. I have a pattern for a wooden press, but before I go full Norm Abrums, perhaps someone here knows of a simple short cut or of a ready made durable product?

Are soybeans readily available in Covid Times? If I put lobster atop my tofu for 10 hours, will the tofu taste like lobster? Morels?
