To be clear I did NOT say that they INSTALLLED the $30 thermostat for $200. I said they sold me a $30 thermostat for $200! The INSTALLATION and the SERVICE CALL were TOTALLY different charges so the whole thing was about $600 (and it conked out 3 days later so changing the thermostat didn't fix the problem,and so much for thier "diagnosis") so I DO think that the people I dealt with were thieves. I find it interesting that you would jump to such an erroneous conclusion as to me being difficult being the problem. That was REAL helpful. What I had hoped for was somewhere to start educating myself about what to look for in a good central air conditioner and what factors make one better than another, and if there ARE any REAL hazards about one kind of system over another (although I find that unlikely in refridgeration but I don't know which is why I'm asking). Otherwise the NEXT few people I deal with may try to convince me that System X will explode,and that is why Sytem Y which THEY install is better. Thanks

I would do stainless or brushed nickel. White with your colors would call too much attention to the air switch, and could stain or discolor over time. Or you could do what we did and select a batch disposal, which has the "switch" in the stopper. Nothing else to match, buy, & put a hole in your countertop. We have the Insinkerator Evolution in both our main cleanup sink & island prep sink. Its stopper is stainless & has three positions: pushed down to hold water, set with a gap to let water & small bits drain, or you give it a quarter turn either way to run the disposal. We also park the stopper on the sink grid or on the ledge just above the drain. There's no gunky flap around the drain to mess with either.

Well apparently I stink at this and don't see issues with furniture. :p I guess I need to work on that. Looking at these few now. This is kind of a walk through Boop's learning how to buy used furniture thread or furniture in general I Think. I like this set from Vanguard. I think I read that is a decent name. I don't know why but I really like the warmth of the orange. It says Best offer and is from furniture land south. I have no idea what is reasonable to offer. I really like these, but I think the arms might be too high for everyday use.... These look too lumpy right? this is a pair of Baker sofas. Good price I think. Velvet, but I love that and the price is so good I think I could deal with that and the cleaning or recovering the cushions at some point. To the person who said I was all over the place it is true. There is really nothing I am married to in this room ATM besides The IKEA birch expedit shelves and the TV. Well and the brick fireplace (we are thinking of putting in a pellet stove there) I am planning to paint the walls BM windswept. I think it will go with many colors and the kitchen which this room is open to. We currently have a sofa and loveseat. The sofa is shot (very ripped, not worth repairing I think) and the loveseat is OK. A cheap set overall.

I have a related question. When putting in a new disposal what DO you need that is not included with the disposal itself? I see all these accessories displayed beside the disposals but no where can I find what is included and what isn't. I do know about the air switch but the flanges is what confuses me. It would be nice if you could find the flange in white. I think it would look best but I don't think the stainless steel would look bad either. When you do a Google search for an Insinkerator extended flage in white several sites come up but I am not sure if this is the exact flange you are looking for. It is available in white.
