If you want a bit more glam, you could rotate the desks to the wall to create on large work plane. This would help hide the wires from the computers & stuff as well as make it easier to work together.

That would make the wall a focal point where a large centered mirror would go with possibly (1) or (2) shelves on either side would add to the function and give a place to put some glam goodies & accessories.

Adding some wall paper on that wall above the chair rail would really make the space pop & seem intentional.

We initially were going to rotate the desks but we needed a wall for video conferencing. The area behind this is the living room/hallway.... high traffic

I see. You could put the desks at the wing walls & sit back to back & still create a feature above the chair rail. If not a big mirror than the TV for video conferencing.

You need to take a photo standing further back so you can capture the entire room. The light fixture needs to be changed. Your desks and chairs are not "glam". Take some more photos standing back and showing the entire space then draw our a floor plan showing openings doorways and measurements. The first thing that needs to be changed is the layout, It isnt working.

I don’t want the whole area to be glam. Maybe that’s too strong of a style. Maybe just touches of brightness/softness. Definitely yes to a new light fixture! And some plant life.

The walls are 47in, 116.5 in, 41in. Desk is 44in wide

So your plan isnt to use the entire dining room area just where the wall desks sit now? The bump in so to speak even though its not a bump in?
