I need more GREEN paint help!
Comments (42)Does the wall have to be green? The reason I'm asking is a beautiful color combo for vintage is a very pale yellow and the red on your trim. Since you already have a yellowish wall you probably haven't considered another shade of yellow. Also, it seems you're wanting to go lighter, right? I see green as being dark, no matter the shade. And also depressing for some reason which I can't figure out! But then again, everyone knows I'm not a green fan (only on walls unless it's a pastel green) so take what I say with a grain of salt. lol Although pale yellow-cream with dark red is beautiful together, and very vintage!...See MoreAttn: Tobacco Road users/others, I need to repaint
Comments (12)Laura, thanks for all the additional pictures...your house looks great! Do you like your lantern-style light fixture? I am considering that kind as well as a traditional chandlier type (no upward facing glass bowls). Acomom, when I first saw your post I thought, acomom, where do I know that name from? Then I remembered. I am pretty sure I tried to "find" you about 9 months ago after seeing your finished kitchen on the FKB. I loved your backsplash. I ended up with Jerusalem Gold with some small Sonoma tileworks accents. I think you had J. Pearl and some larger sonoma accents...if I remember correctly. Now that I think about it, I remember liking your paint as well! Thanks for responding to this post and for providing some inspiration for my backsplash! Thanks Mimi. This group of TR enthusiasts is sure prompt with responses and very helpful! Thanks! It's funny, because I can truly say that I really like each of your four houses from the pictures I've seen. I think it is interesting that this color attracts a certain style or something! Thanks again!...See Morehelp I have many rooms I need to paint...need help choosing color
Comments (2)hermustangs, if you'll read the "new to GW" thread below on this page (or if it's left this page by the time you read this, search for it) you'll find explicit instructions on how to post photos; very easy to do. I think you'll get many more responses if you include photos. I'm not good enough with colors personally to try to answer your questions without seeing the rooms. Good luck!...See MoreHELP! Comments (13)ETA clarity to my post. What color is the last picture? That looks good. I think if you live with it like was suggested above you will like it. Accessorizing with some amazing colors for that wall color will help to pull the room together. I have a bathroom that I used BM Bunny Gray in and it looks like a baby blue. I have white, gray, and marble in that room. I have another room with carrara marble in, and I used BM Horizon, but that has a bit of green in it. The Horizon is very pale and might seem white to some. But the warming of the blue goes with my walnut. The Bunny Gray is a bit richer and looks fine with my whites, blacks, and marble. I tried many many samples for the marble in this room and settled on the Bunny Gray. No pink or green that I see in the Bunny Gray. This is a deco that I found and based my BM Bunny Blue room colors on. The lichen might have faded but the reddish in the mussles go well with the blue. The blue is very pale in these picture. click on them to get them full sized:...See MoreUser
