Powder Room Sink
Comments (12)We have similar dimension as you and the room is even narrower 3' x 6.5'. Our current pedestal sink is 17" deep so it is extremely tight. Our door swings outward which is good for the bathroom since it's so tight but where your closet is we have another door that leads to basement that also swings out to the small hallway. Not ideal at all. Have you seen this bath on houzz? Their layout is more similar to mine, and smaller than yours, so I think it could work. The sink is the one mentioned from IKEA. I love this powder room and wish I could completely copy! Comments (22)What do you mean, "worried about the business"? OH, I think you meant being too busy? My master is fairly large yet not giant by any means, but do have two windows which AM light is good, and that's it. I originally put in three lights that had frosted glass and they didn't offer enough light. Mine are sconces as you probably know now and not over vanity lights. The lights I replaced were long cylindrical lights and took 2 torpedo bulbs per light. Horrible lighting 80 watts total per light and there were three... to be honest I wasn't fond of the lights at all, but got them as my husband liked them as I did the whole plan for decor for the room so let him pick them thinking, "meh"... glad they didn't work :) I think if this is a powder room you might consider this. Look at lights, then bulb sizes so the length doesn't exceed the glass fixture. They do have different bulb sizes. If you are an Amazon member look up the light I copied and pasted and look at some of them. This is not a bath that one would be applying makeup, shaving.... correct?...See MorePowder room vanity ideas to make more space for litter box
Comments (26)If you decide to have the underside of a wall-hung sink visually exposed and want it looking neat, check out Duravit.com. Duravit sells matching pedestals that do get in the way, but also ”siphon covers” that hang on the wall and hide the plumbing behind a porcelain cover that only goes halfway to the floor. They also sell countersinks, in which there is a sink in the middle or one side or the other of a large porcelain countertop, all one piece. A larger, deeper one of these can give the litterbox more cover. You can also get a cheap vanity and cut a cat door in the side of it and use a tray with higher sides to try and capture litter that escapes the box. With two doors on a frameless front, you should be able to pull out the tray to brush it off and wash it. You could also look into furniture pieces that are made to hide the litter box and could look nicer. An activated charcoal filter hung in there and changed regularly could make a cabinet cat box smell better without adding perfume that the cats probably would not like. That works pretty darn well in the Toto deodorizing toilet seats....See MoreHelp with vanity ideas for a narrow powder room
Comments (8)I like Artemis78 suggestion of a 30” vanity with 2” fillers on the sides. You can never have too much storage! I purchased Bertch USA vanities for my bathrooms, great quality with soft closing drawers. Check out their website. For the vanity tops I purchased remnant quartz pieces from a local stone yard. Best of luck in your renovation journey!...See MoreHeidi M
