can't send e-mail
Comments (3)Might want to visit your isp support pages to see how to set Outlook Express email settings - pay particular attention to the server names and the check box for outgoing 'server requires authorization'. Here is a link that might be useful: email setting, mycablespeed...See MoreSending credit card info by email?
Comments (13)Caution is good - but none of you have suggested fax, which is what I'd probably do, but remember, you have chargeback rights - you can deny any transactions that don't have your own, verifiable signature - so if you find a few 'extra' transactions (check your statement carefully) you go to the issuing bank, and tell them about it. The other thing to watch out for, is to ask, when you pay your bill, the hotel accounts person to call the credit card authorisation line, and have them cancel the excess in authorisation, if they've done it....that may have changed, but ask your credit card co about this. What happens is, your $200 a night (or whatever it is) hotel calls for authorisation on your card, to ensure the card's valid, and you have credit. To cover themselves, they'll ask for more than the room fee, in case you stay longer, drink the whole minibar, etc. The authorisation, on the assumption you DO spend that much, is taken off your limit, so if the hotel's asked for a $600 authorisation, then you only spend $250. you 'lose' the balance of that authorisation til the next billing cycle (or a predetermined period) until that authorisation lapses. It's a trap people overseas sometimes find themselves in......See MoreI need more help with my email on my phone
Comments (5)Lots of ways to do it.. . you don't really say why or how you use 2nd account so someone could try to give a more specific answer. You can always use a web browser to login to any yahoo email account https://mail.yahoo.com If you don't have a separate app installed for the 2nd yahoo email, I don't think yahoo has a way to send notifications. Of course - a single yahoo account can merge one other yahoo into the one account and receive mail from both. Then you have just the one password to see both account emails. All yahoo email accounts have the ability to have alias accounts, easily setup under the online security settings. Probably could install a generic email app. Configure it to do your 2nd email account - Perhaps look at; http://blog.en.uptodown.com/blue-mail-universal-email-manager-android/ You could set up an account on gmail or one of the other popular email providers and have it fetch your 2nd yahoo email or set the 2nd yahoo to forward to it....See MoreDo you like to talk on the phone?
Comments (48)janey alabama, Do you and the yakkety friend occasionally/(ever?) get together for a face to face chat? Could you bring up the subject of your concern and share that concern diplomatically? OTOH ... how about keeping track of the subject and approximate length of her "discussion"/(monologue) of her issues for three or four days, during which time you attempt to share some of your engaging doings, with the approximate length of time that you two spent on them, until she detoured the truck over to following her roadmap again ... then telling her something of your concern about the inequity. Dad used to say that it was a poor train that didn't run both ways on the same track ... and I don't remember him dealing with the possibilities of there maybe being another train on that track. Knowing my interest in considering alternative possibilities, I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that I may have brought that possibilty into the picture/discussion. ole joyful...See Morealways1stepbehind
