curved shower curtain rod
Comments (1)We have two very small bathrooms in which we installed curved rods over the tubs. One bathroom has ~6 more inches of space between the toilet and tub, so we were able to hang the rod pretty much where we wanted. In the smaller bathroom, we installed the rod further in (on the tub surround). There is still plenty of additional room (afforded by the curved rod) when standing in the tub/shower. Would I like to have a little more room between the toilet and tub/curtain? Absolutely, but it's certainly functional (the way it is). I don't think having the curved rod cuts into the floor space (the ends of the rod are within the tub space, it's only at the center where it really bows out past the tub). If anything, I think they make the rooms look more spacious (and it definitely makes the tub space itself more spacious)....See MoreLooking for high-quality curved double shower curtain rod
Comments (17)I have a Moen single curved rod. I've only had it for a month or so, so it's too early for rust. However, I purchased it based on very good reviews, both here and on Amazon. I was originally planning on getting a straight tension rod, because I needed my head examined. I had this notion that drilling holes in my new tub/shower surround tile was too heinous to consider. I even talked myself into thinking that the straight rod provided enough room while taking a shower. That may be sorta true. I'm small and don't fling my arms around a lot in the shower. I would have been fine and not emotionally scarred. I finally had a moment of reason and let them install the curved rod. Not, mind you, until I'd been very scientific about finding the exact sweet spot for its placement. It is wonderful. Seriously. The shower feels quite spacious in width with the curtain closed. I also like that outside the shower it doesn't look at all strange or bulge-y. Almost like an optical illusion. Don't worry about the point where the two sections of rod meet. There's a little plastic thing that slides over it and if you use rings with ball bearings, they slide over it without a hitch....See MoreDo you like the curved shower curtain rods?
Comments (9)I put one in my kids shower tub combo. I hate shower curtains touching me too. When you install it consider what is next to the tub like the toilet try to have the curtain a bit more towards the tub and not on top of the toilet so much. We are using that bathroom now cause of a remodel and we could have moved the rod over just one more inch cause when I went to sit on the toilet the other day the shower curtain came with.. Yikes! well I just went and measured and I think were like 5" away but when you hang a curtain they poof and well you know the rest....See MoreHow can I DIY a curved curtain rod?
Comments (21)Box it out with wood, like a picture frame, except you don't have to do the back wall. Come out past the shelf in the front just the amount you need to come out, which looks like a few inches. Attach the wood to the bottom of the shelf on the left side and to the wall on the right side... then go buy some velcro tape and glue it to the wood and the curtain. You don't need to velcro the entire lenght of the wood on both the left side and the front, you just have to do a few inches, then skip a few inches...I hope this is clear...the curtain would just be on the left side and on the front. You could also cut a top for over the 'new addition' :) the curtain would also be easily removable for washing. J....See Morefunctionthenlook
