Do you like the curved shower curtain rods?
Comments (9)I put one in my kids shower tub combo. I hate shower curtains touching me too. When you install it consider what is next to the tub like the toilet try to have the curtain a bit more towards the tub and not on top of the toilet so much. We are using that bathroom now cause of a remodel and we could have moved the rod over just one more inch cause when I went to sit on the toilet the other day the shower curtain came with.. Yikes! well I just went and measured and I think were like 5" away but when you hang a curtain they poof and well you know the rest....See MoreShower curtain rods - decent quality
Comments (6)I agree, non-expandable is totally the way to go. They last for a long time and look much nicer, and don't catch the rings! We had a straight one in our last home that I ordered on line. Have you considered a curved rod? I just got this one, and it's fabulous... adds a lot of space inside while showering, and looks really nice, too :) I brought home a few from Lowes/HD to try that were in the same price range, but expandable, and they felt and looked so much "cheaper". Here is a link that might be useful: Crescent shower rod...See MoreDouble tract, or double, curved, quality shower rod?
Comments (3)BB&B does have them, but here's a piece of advice: Also do a Google search for "double curved shower rod" AND "reviews." I have been searching for a new over-the-showerhead caddy in stainless steel (should be a quick purchase, no? hmph!) and you would be amazed at how much of the "stainless" stuff out there is just bad. Meaning getting rusty way too fast (good stainless stuff for the shower is not supposed to do that at all). I would be very wary of getting a rod from a discount store, like Marshalls, etc., unless you can find a review of the manufacturer online....See MoreHow Sturdy Are Curved *Tension* Shower Curtain Rods?
Comments (30)I would love to know what others have done to tighten so their Moen curved tension rod is tighter; it may have simply been the dimensions we were dealing with. It did, however, make a huge difference in the "roominess" feel of the shower. I got the bar to convince my dad that we needed to go with a curved bar for him instead of a straight one. He was NOT convinced! I would consider doing what we did: buy one, carefully open box, slide the clear plastic end protectors toward the center of the rod instead of cutting them off, and then try to tighten it enough so it stays level. If it does not work, put it back into the original packaging and return....See Moremydreamhome
