Looking for high-quality curved double shower curtain rod
Comments (17)I have a Moen single curved rod. I've only had it for a month or so, so it's too early for rust. However, I purchased it based on very good reviews, both here and on Amazon. I was originally planning on getting a straight tension rod, because I needed my head examined. I had this notion that drilling holes in my new tub/shower surround tile was too heinous to consider. I even talked myself into thinking that the straight rod provided enough room while taking a shower. That may be sorta true. I'm small and don't fling my arms around a lot in the shower. I would have been fine and not emotionally scarred. I finally had a moment of reason and let them install the curved rod. Not, mind you, until I'd been very scientific about finding the exact sweet spot for its placement. It is wonderful. Seriously. The shower feels quite spacious in width with the curtain closed. I also like that outside the shower it doesn't look at all strange or bulge-y. Almost like an optical illusion. Don't worry about the point where the two sections of rod meet. There's a little plastic thing that slides over it and if you use rings with ball bearings, they slide over it without a hitch....See MoreTension Shower Rods Anyone???
Comments (7)I have a tension rod in my tile shower with both a decorative curtain and cloth liner on it and have had no problems with it coming down at all. I also have a tension rod in the guest fiberglass shower stall and have no problems when it's used. I don't think I've ever had one as long as would be required for a bathtub though, and wonder how well a longer length would hold the weight of a wider curtain and deal with potential sag in the middle that might drag it off the wall?...See MoreHow can I DIY a curved curtain rod?
Comments (21)Box it out with wood, like a picture frame, except you don't have to do the back wall. Come out past the shelf in the front just the amount you need to come out, which looks like a few inches. Attach the wood to the bottom of the shelf on the left side and to the wall on the right side... then go buy some velcro tape and glue it to the wood and the curtain. You don't need to velcro the entire lenght of the wood on both the left side and the front, you just have to do a few inches, then skip a few inches...I hope this is clear...the curtain would just be on the left side and on the front. You could also cut a top for over the 'new addition' :) the curtain would also be easily removable for washing. J....See MoreCurved Shower Rod and Billowing Curtain
Comments (9)I put a tension-curved rod up because I wasn't sure if I'd want a curtain or glass sliding doors on my tub after a redo. I bought this rod as a trial balloon to help me decide if I really wanted to go with a curved rod and drill into my new tile. I've never replaced it. It's never so much as budged, and my tile is intact if I ever decide to change my mind. I also mounted it high for an extra-long curtain liner. I've never been attacked by the curtain. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00NBQ9BDC/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1...See Morerantontoo
