curved shower curtain rod for small shower?
Comments (3)I bought an 'adjustable' curved shower rod, online. It's composed of 2 curved pieces, one slides inside the other. It's terrible - the diameters of the 2 pipes/rods are very different. There is enough room for the rod to move, and the rings don't slide over the junction. I'm guessing you can buy a solid piece, and cut it to fit. I doubt 43" will be a problem. Look for some curved shower rods online, and then research the manufacturers. Most will have details about installation, more than retailers' sites. Pick up the phone and call the manufacturer if you still have probs....See MoreDo you like the curved shower curtain rods?
Comments (9)I put one in my kids shower tub combo. I hate shower curtains touching me too. When you install it consider what is next to the tub like the toilet try to have the curtain a bit more towards the tub and not on top of the toilet so much. We are using that bathroom now cause of a remodel and we could have moved the rod over just one more inch cause when I went to sit on the toilet the other day the shower curtain came with.. Yikes! well I just went and measured and I think were like 5" away but when you hang a curtain they poof and well you know the rest....See MoreHow can I DIY a curved curtain rod?
Comments (21)Box it out with wood, like a picture frame, except you don't have to do the back wall. Come out past the shelf in the front just the amount you need to come out, which looks like a few inches. Attach the wood to the bottom of the shelf on the left side and to the wall on the right side... then go buy some velcro tape and glue it to the wood and the curtain. You don't need to velcro the entire lenght of the wood on both the left side and the front, you just have to do a few inches, then skip a few inches...I hope this is clear...the curtain would just be on the left side and on the front. You could also cut a top for over the 'new addition' :) the curtain would also be easily removable for washing. J....See MoreCurved Shower Curtain Rod Placement
Comments (5)Interesting. I have two. In the master bathroom, I installed "The Arc" shower curtain rod myself. I just guessed at the placement. Lol. The inside edge of the bracket is 8 inches from the outside edge of the shower/tub. The other arched rod, in the other bathroom, is a cheapo from Bed, Bath & Beyond I had to rush out to get when the old one came crashing down and I had tenants coming. The old one had been installed by the prior owner, WAY too high and too far in. The new BB&B rod, inside edge of the bracket is 4 inches from the outside edge of the shower. Yet, the BB&B rod doesn't give as much elbow room as "The Arc" rod because the Arc has a much larger arch. The Arc is made from 'airplane aluminum", so it is flexible. You can even cut it to fit if you have to do so. So, the shower that has the Arc rod but which has the anchors much farther in has much more room, while the arched rod which is set farther out has less. I suspect the Moen rod is more like the BB&B rod, so 8 inches in would be WAY too much, rendering the arch of the rod all but useless....See MoreUser
