Comments (19)My DH is the surviving beneficiary on an insurance policy his father took out nearly 100 years ago when he served in WWI. DH received $1.89 monthly starting in 1949. (His mother selected that option thinking it would keep him in comic books.) We had to move heaven and earth to get the government to at least consolidate this into an annual check; only proof of his death will stop it. Comments (17)Jasdip, my two nephews (6 and 4 at the time) did the same to me one day when I was watching them. We went to the store, they picked out pork chops and vegetables, we went home, prepared dinner, and as we sat at the table the older one looked at me and said, "I hope you know, we don't eat vegetables." Younger one, " Yeah and we don't eat that stuff either!" - pushing the pork chop away with his fork. I didn't find it amusing at the time. So, I said, fine, don't eat. DD and I finished our dinner while they just sat there. SIL was very not happy with me because they were SO HUNGRY when she picked them up - "why didn't I feed them?"...See More
