Here are various pics of kitchen. I really need to stay with floor and tops...if a gray wouldn’t work can you suggest any other color that would? Thanks for your input!

Here’s a look at the living room - bedroom floors are the same. The walls are currently a very changeable and I think nice light grey that looks almost blue or purple (and sometimes beige?) depending on the light. Contractor’s budget was very generous, still waiting on the insurance to approve or negotiate the details. I don’t mind investing some (so painting, maybe resurfacing. Depending on the cost?), but don’t think I’m up for the cost or time investment of replacing the cabinets when they are perfectly functional. Thanks for the advice so far!

I matched my white cabs to my trim (SW Dover White) bc i knew i liked that white in my house (i live in an old house & have a lot of big chunky trim) so it seemed like a safe choice. sorry i can’t help on the counter - it would be helpful for you to look at the sample in your house with your specific lighting - good luck/have fun with your reno :)

first, forget the backsplash tile for now. wait until everything else is in. I like your choices. I did two tone and two diff countertops in my kitchen. in your second pic, i'm guessing that's with your lighting? It's too yellow. change the bulbs to a 3500-4000K LED and the colors will look better. secondly, you should NOT ever pick a countertop from those tiny sample pieces. you must go see the entire slab in person. a lot of times the samples have changed colors. Cambria Weybourne? Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo? it's a bit warmer I also really like MSI Calacatta Laza Is there a stone yard you can visit? What about Silestone? this is their Eternal Charcoal in the suede finish. looks beautiful w/wood. (I actually have this one but in the gray color) Or, Sea Pearl quartzite would be lovely w/your color cabinets if you reall ywant some color, try Fusion Quartzite Gaya quartzite
