Comments (8)I'm grateful my GS is going home today after a very successful, very fun visit for him. He's had cousins galore to play w/ and we've done just about whatever he wanted. He's cried once, when he missed his Mom, but other than that, he's had a great time. I'm all for building memories and while he won't remember this for too long, being 3 y o, the good feeling he has in his heart for us will never go away. Comments (8)I'm grateful for the feeling of community I experienced last evening when I joined some friends at a coffee house on Main Street where other friends were caroling. I sat at a little table with a close friend and her daughter, home from college, another friend's granddaughter on my lap. Comments (10)Today, at 78 years and counting, I am grateful that the diagnosis I was given at 17 was way off base. In spite of predictions by medical experience, I did not loose many physical abilities in early adulthood. Today I can still stand and walk with aid while puttering about my now limited daily routine. I can't say that I am looking ahead to what I know is my future. I watched the end stage of my (our) disease as my sister lost her life to it 3 months ago. But I am able to see and hear and appreciate the world around me as each day dawns.
