Haven't been able to drag out all my decorations in basement, DD's stuff is stacked in front of it, and I only got out just a few things this year. 2 tiny trees already decorated lol. my front door wreath. a few smalls, not much else. Thanks Suzie, I was in love with it until a grouting snafoo happened...now I'm just praying it will be fixed and look like this again. Yes, the slate is darker, I ached for months over the decisions so I can relate. Our ceilings are only 8 ft, but the frame is big. It's going to surround the shower head, a hand held & slide bar and the diverter. I can tell by your posts your struggling, sometimes all the different the feedback can make it even more overwhelming...best advise is go with what your gut tells you, it's always right in the end. I saw bits of it but kept getting bored and surfing off because few of the projects were of any use to me at all, and the 'tude of "only $5,000!" that got to Oceanna made me twitch too. About the only thing I really found interesting was the same fix that brutuses did, the convert-recessed-to-pendant fixture, although that's probably because I am notoriously passionate in my loathing of "ceiling acne"! I knew about the conversion kits where you can easily rewire a recessed can into an attachment point for a pendant, flush/semiflush or small chandelier - one is called the Can Converter - but that's the first one I've seen that just screws into the socket. I am pretty sure that fixture is from A Well Hung Light (love the name! LOL). I also found another sort that has a corded pendant instead of a rigid pole, made by Worth Home Products, and they are cheaper but the style selection is quite skimpy.

I personally cannot believe Peter could go from a "big baby" to a reasonable adult that quick, unless someone explained to him that if the restaurant closed the gravy train would close too. I thought it was interesting to watch after having watched all the shows in the British version. I think I will probably prefer the British version, I almost felt sorry for Chef Ramsey, Peter swore him under the table! I read an interview with Ramsey about the lawsuit, I'm not really surprised by it. There are a lot of lawsuit happy people here and plenty of unscrupulous lawyers willing to help them make a fast buck. It seems to me if he was fired, it had to be the owner who fired him. If a waitress losses her job because she does not do her job properly, does she get to sue all the patrons who complained about her lousy service? A general manager's job is to oversee everything that goes on in a restaurant and keep it operating profitably. Obviously this was not happening. Having work in kitchens, I doubt anyone needs to sabotage a kitchen at a troubled restaurant to make it look bad, most people would hate to see a restaurant kitchen mid service! And I have personally seen bill collectors (and bookies) show up at restaurants, and if they could not get in thru the kitchen door, they did waltz right in the front.
