Sandboxes come in many shapes and sizes, and can attract the young and anyone else who likes to play. These sandy spots allow for endless creativity and hours of summer entertainment.

Levels of fun and function. This backyard has multiple terraces for different uses. It starts with flowers up top, drops down to vegetables and ends with a toy-filled sandbox. Having the fun on the lowest level gives the kids a place to play while the adults work on the garden or water the flowers.
