Comments (40)Allie the cost is right at 135/sqft. Not inclusive of the lot. High end finishes planned for the inside. White oak wide plank floors. 7". High end appliances Kohler farmhouse sink, large tile shower etc.....There will be some brick out front made to resemble a brick foundation not the 4 foot brick you see on a lot of homes. The siding alone was about 30k install included :( It is DiamondKote LP SmartSide. It does look soooo much better than vinyl though which is the norm around here in about 98% of new homes. The front and back porches, as well as the eyebrow, will be galvalume metal. Had to wait for siding to be done to install. cpartist- Yes they are ordered and finalized,. The cabinets are white Haas inset in the kitchen with full overlay gray stained island. White/gray full overlay elsewhere depending on the room. Cambria Ella quartz also....See MoreHelp/Input on Modern Farmhouse floorplan + exterior
Comments (27)Thanks Summit! Yes... I originally wanted that hallway there... but we were open to "conserving space" (to try to keep the house at/around 4000sf) if the architect had different ideas. I think he did a good job getting in what we need... but..... I feel like I want that hallway regardless of how much/little SF it adds to the house. I still feel like the laundry/craft room + mudroom + back pool bathroom needs reconfiguring still. Would a hall going from that back door connecting to the hall from the guest room (so the bathroom opens up into that hall) work? Or maybe move the laundry room down so its accessible from the guest hallway vs teh back corner. Hmm....See MoreHome exterior help - Modern Farmhouse type style
Comments (32)Here's some information about sliding windows. In a storm the exposed track fills with water and if it doesn't drain fast enough water enters the house. I've seen it happen in a test chamber. The fact that they are cheap is not enough of a reason to put them in a house. And little burgers are known to cause indigestion. Life is not fair....See MoreFirst home buyer need kitchen makeover!Modern farmhouse idea pls help!
Comments (10)First start some idea books that is what helps us understand what you like. Also we need more pictures a floor plan done to scale , a list of things you don’t like about the kitchen Are you getting new appliances and even if not we need the sizes of those . I will say it is best to live with the space for awhile before doing anything, that gives you time to see how the house works for you. It is surprising sometimes that what you think will happen in the space just doesn’t . IMO the min. amount of time is 3 months of living in the space.I assume these are the realtor pics and not your furniture....See Morehomechef59
