Looking to paint my kitchen and family room a warm gray (no green or blue or purple undertones), but color is voodoo. My first paint sample was BM Light Pewter and it's just too light and not warm enough (no beige undertone to it to warm it up). My second sample was BM Revere Pewter and it looks very green in my rooms. Both rooms tend to emphasize green undertones, so we need to avoid them as we do NOT want the walls to look green. The third sample was BM Collingwood and it's the right depth of color and looks great on some walls, but purple on others. I don't want a purple family room or kitchen. I was thinking of trying BM Edgecomb Gray, but think it with show greenish as it's in the same family as Revere Pewter. The kitchen has natural light primarily from the North, with some western light. The family room has lots of natural light from the south, with some north as well. Thoughts? Suggestions?
