Cocktail Ottoman Help Needed
Comments (33)Well...I couldn't stand it and tracked down the source of the rug ottoman. It's Lee and runs over $2000. Ugh...I so love these! These are a great size as well. The High Point Market starts this week so my local Lee dealer is going go look for these. Apparently, they will also make them using COM - rug and that may be a way to control the cost a little better. Let the obsessing begin......See Morebachelor seeking advice for failing meyer lemon tree
Comments (73)UPDATE 2019! Hey everyone, happy new year! You guys are still my special community of help and advice that I always think of when I am around my tree! I have since brought my tree down to my parents house in South Carolina. Being a bachelor (still) I had to move into several different apartments in Nashville since that post, none of which would be suitable for my baby to thrive in! My parents also have adopted her and done an excellent job helping raise her as my dad loves loves loves lemons in all of the water that he drinks. It had a great summer - they brought it outside and kept it in full sun - it grew to become a large leaf bearing tree that the kids love to “pretend water” with toy cups and boats full of water. Now it has been brought in for the winter and it has grown so many lemons - I’ve been anxiously waiting for them to start turning yellow. Over thanksgiving it appeared that some of them were beginning to turn yellow at the base of the fruit. I was hopeful that this January they would turn full yellow and I could come and pick a few. Here is the sad news. It has been dropping leaves consistently. It still is blooming. My dad and i think that it is due to over watering. Then i just found out from my dad that after Christmas it got a spider mite infestation. My dad sprayed it with some pesticide and he thinks the spiders are all dead. I’m attaching a photo of what he used. Again, just wanted to update you guys. Last year we got lemons and it was incredible to see where this tree had come from. I think I might have to name her Lazarus! Never would have saved her with yalls help. What do y’all think of the current state the tree is in? What do you think of the spider mite infestation? Any advice would ALWAYS be so helpful!! Forever grateful, Jamie...See MoreNorth Facing LR and Warm White Fail
Comments (28)I'm not sure if I'm seeing green in the paint so much as a warm glow from your lighting. You might try a 3000K light bulb before you do any more painting. Tibb's choices give you an idea of how color plays. You should pick from the colors you like to live with. Too many people pick whites and light beige because they expect them to be safe, neutral and bright. They are just as much colors as darker choices and have just as much impact. Don't be afraid of color and don't count on walls to illuminate your reading material. If you want color, use it -- maybe buy another lamp or use a higher lumen or dayight rather than warm white bulb. If you want a light neutral, you could do a lighter greige. In SW colors that includes Accesible Beige or Agreeable Grey and others. That would be more of a tone on tone or monochromatic look in the room -- which would mean you would need soms accent colors in art, rug, pillows or other accessories. Try to look at the big picture as well as the paint on the wall....See MoreUber Fails In London
Comments (33)Elmer, I think chisue has very strong opinions on things she doesn't like or approve of. I've just done some reading back through here and she also seems to be disapproving of AirBnB. Both AirBnb and rideshare owners are simply trying to make a living. Most people I know who own an (not multiple) AirBnB property or who drive for Uber or Lyft are simply trying to make a living and/or save for retirement. Every time this subject comes up, chisue is very vocal and opinionated about these services. She does not approve. Period. But that's why it's so great that these options exist, for those who want options other than the traditional, established hotel/taxi businesses. I'd rather my money go directly into someone's pocket than to some vast entity that shares only a small portion of their earnings with their employees....See Morelobby68
