48 inch or 36 inch gas range
Comments (5)It's not too big for any kitchen if it's what you want. If you'll use it all, often, and cook your hearts out, it's worth it. If you have no other use for 12" of cabinet space and wouldn't otherwise have a second oven, it might be worth it too. There was a picture floating around here about four years ago of a tiny kitchen, smaller than many closets, in an NYC apartment. It was basically a fridge, a sink, and a massive range. I think it was a 36" professional range, so deeper than normal. There was also a picture of an NYC apartment where the kitchen was basically a wet bar with an induction hot plate built into a drawer. It just depends on how much room you think you need for the actual business of cooking....See MoreReviews for DCS 48 inch gas range

Comments (20)Hmmm, I heard they went to crap after they got bought out but that prior to that many people liked them. Not sure what year that was though but something to look into. I know you're excited but I'd make 100% sure that you will be able to convert it to LP and that every single part you need is readily available. I would find a local installer who has been doing this for many years and sit down with him to discuss before buying, it's not the kind of thing you want to take chances with...if anything goes wrong the best case scenario is it just doesn't work, the other possibilities are much more serious....See MoreAny recent experience buying a Thermador Pro Harmony 48 inch gas range
Comments (14)i really like the Thermador brand and we bought the 48" Harmony gas range. We've had it about 6 months now, and I just found out that ambient temp is reading about 25 degrees higher than what it is set at. Also, my probe stopped working which is the reason i was using another thermometer in the oven. Has anyone experienced this? I'm also a little disappointed that the broil function has only one setting which gets very hot. My old Wolf range had low/med/high so i could control the broil better. i have a tech coming in next 2 weeks but wanted to find out if anything has had any issues with their gas range. The things i like about the Thermador are the star burners, the smooth sliding racks, and i like the griddle that we have as well. Very easy to clean since it's nonstick....See Morekaseki
