Yes if you have trouble controling clutter do one without any counter space like this one:

Coffee bar? beverage center? Computer work area? craft desk? feed station for pets? Recycle station?

Remove upper cabs and do a built-in L shape breakfast nook? I mean, what do you need or want?

depends on what else you have going on in the kitchen. you plan on doing a free standing console piece or base cabinets w/top of some sort?

you could do a fun color or something similar to your wall color.

look on Pinterest for small coffee bar or beverage bar ideas.

You can find a store bought island or kitchen cart that will fit there. I’d stick to white.

If you need more food storage you could remove the upper cabinets and replace them with 12-15 inch deep, tall pantry cabinets. I think Ikea carries them and they have several door styles.

Why not a rolling cart to,use as a drink server when entertaining or a coffee center if you need one.

What do you NEED in your kitchen? Identify your need first, then figure out how to meet it. Form follows function.

This is so much fun - so many options! I think first, evaluate your storage, is there anything you never seem to have a home for? What kind of clutter do you struggle with? (I struggle with mail and papers, personally.) There are so many options and you can have so much fun with it - either keeping whatever solution you land on white, or an accent color. But first - Spend some time really considering what you need more space for - and go from there! If you haven't already, I'd go through your entire kitchen and de-clutter, clean out, etc. You might find your answer in doing that! Whatever you do - have fun!! :)

I like the idea of taking the existing cabinet off the wall and buying a tall piece of storage furniture (armoire, or stacked kitchen cabinet) to go there.
