Empty Space Solution Rd II
Comments (3)Thanks Annie, if our ceilings were higher I would like the crown molding idea, but I think it's too much for our small kitchen. Houses on house are a lot fancier than mine, but I did get some good ideas for fixtures that would work....See MoreEMPTY SPACE BY KITCHEN BAR
Comments (14)The area behind the barstools does look empty. Can't tell exactly the space that you have there. I would put a nice storage (maybe for glasses or bottles of wine). I think the reason you did a overhang on the kitchen counter is for someone to sit there to eat breakfast or for entertainment. Putting another high table behind for you to move chairs around every time someone wants to sit at the bar or the high table doesn't make too much sense. Just put something decorative that you can also use for storage. Don't think a nook table with benches would fit and hopefully you have another area that you can make a dining room area....See MoreNeed help deciding what to do with empty space in large kitchen
Comments (24)I'm going to do something like the first pic luckyblueeye posted above. A little conversation area, 2 chairs and an ottoman. When you say you like the table long ways....do you mean short end of table to short end of island? I think it looks a little odd but I don't know what else to do. I was thinking I'd get a large round table but I don't think I'll have enough walk room on either side of the table since I want to have my hutch and something else decorative on the other wall. I love having the table closer to the kitchen area though....See MoreHelp me place furniture in this small living room
Comments (21)I am sure you paid a pretty penny for your chairs but they are too deep and wide for the space with a sofa and second one. Transportation into the space is really tight. Consider moving one chair to a bedroom. Beverly’s arrangement is best. I would also try the darker drop leaf table to left of fireplace and other table might work as small sofa table behind sofa facing fireplace. It is a cute house just needs some tweaking. Some nice art on walls above whatever tables you use will add interest and depth to your room. Nice space....See Morecharleston_beachbum
