GREAT Fabric Softener for Sensitive skin and noses
Comments (8)Hi Larsi! Actually its called Peach and Lemon Blossom. I have seen it on Miele retailer websites. I believe I got mine from the Persil detergent vendor: Better Products On-Line. @Livebetter: I, like you, am always tempted by differing laundry products. Rock Solid, I love Persil Megapearls. I was not overwhelmed by the smell and no adverse skin reactions. I have not tried the liquid or other powders. I was very pleased with the cleaning results. Price is the only issue for me. Wish I could find something cheaper that worked as well, but I haven't. Miele detergent products are almost identical in price to Persil, just easier to get (for me). Kinda like the folks on the kitchen forum who are obsessed with OTK (One True Kitchen), we are the OTD (One True Detergent), LOL!...See MoreUK detergent for sensitive skin?
Comments (10)Dorm washers are the worst. Thank God, I could remove the totally gunked-up detergent drawers on the Speed Queen washers I used in the UK to clean them out before using the machine. These also did a fairly okay job at washing and rinsing. And, we didn't have to pay for the washers and dryers - it was included in the rent, I suppose. My girlfriend was not so lucky. The Maytag Neptune front loaders did a horroble job at everything. She ended up hand-washing some *special* stuff in order to avoid catching whatever was floating around in those nasty washers. I'd recommend posting over at automaticwasher.org. Lots of folks from the UK there. If all fails... there are always those portable washers that look like twin tubs with one side for washing and the other one containing a spinner. These machines aren't that large, not that expensive and can be sold once she finishes her studies. Best of luck. Dorm washer are the worst... Comments (1)I have used Purex Fabric Softener for years (20+) because I tested many Fabric Softeners in an allergy skin test & had reactions to everything, but Purex. Unfortunately, it is not distributed widely enough & periodically whereever I find it (sometimes grocery stores, sometimes Walmart & Target) at times stop carrying it. I liked the original just fine & actually find all the new fragrances fairly heavy (including Almond Milk & Aloe), but am very excited that they are addressing the sensitive skin market. I really can't use dryer sheets since they leave a film on clothes & make me break out. You are right, it is so nice to have towels & clothes smell fresh & not fight with my perfumes....See MoreBest *Powder* Detergent for Darks in Front Load
Comments (27)Chisue...I keep forgetting what washer you have.....but IMO powder Cheer is the best you will find for darks..yes theres scent to it, but its light and an old fashioned scent, not that strong candy scent so many detergents have now days. Problem some people have is it suds too much in a FL...a TL would be ok...it is formulated for FL&TL so it may be fine as long as the water isn't soft, yours falls in the center...if you have a TL I'd recommend it... As far as liquid and pods...its a new younger generation these days and this is what they want...its for sure sad that finding a great powder is so hard to do. My preference is also powder, but its getting harder to find any that stand up to the job and doesn't smell sickening sweet. I suspect its going to get worse....See MoreAnnette Holbrook(z7a)
