Comments (11)I just read through your other thread and this one. You have a beautiful home, and you've obviously put a lot of thought into your architecture. You must love cooking in that kitchen! I like the rugs 1 and 2 above for your breakfast area. I would not, in any circumstance, do the same rug, matchy matchy, for your living room and breakfast room. I like the idea of adding lightness of feeling to the space by adding lighter rugs and window treatments. You can accomplish a lot that way, without having to replace obviously good furniture. I also really like the idea of editing some of the accessories. Especially editing the stuff on the bookcases. I like the suggestions of replacing the drapery panels with something like a natural linen or a solid dupioni in a natural or putty color maybe, and moving the rod higher. By replacing your dark light absorbing drapery panels with something light reflective like dupioni or gauzy like linen you'll be adding some much needed surface contrast. A thought on why you might be getting some of the responses you're getting - the photos are so dark. I totally understand your comment about not changing anything like paint or major elements so soon after the build - my dh would have a conniption fit too. One thing though that I think you should consider is changing out some of the matching light fixtures. I'd keep your island pendants and the dining room chandy, but replace the one over the kitchen table - it's too matchy and too predictable. Good luck, your home is beautiful....See MoreUnder eye concealer for aging skin? Your favorite?
Comments (21)I'm with Dawn. Horrible dark circles under my eyes. I have never worn makeup. When I was looking for a job, I went to one of those cosmetic counters where they do a "makeover" on you. That girl spent 30 or 40 minutes (and about 400 dollars worth of products on my face) and I looked worse when she got done than when I walked in the door. I felt bad I didn't buy anything, I'll just live with my circles....See MoreSmall wrinkles under my eyes coming in :-(
Comments (73)Thanks, Allison. I will check that out. The older i get, the more I notice my hands need moisture ALL the time. No more just lotion, full-fledged hand cream. I love Aveda Foot Relief, but can’t stand the fragrance of the Hand Relief. At Christmas they came out with a small version in Rosemary Mint that was nice. I always prefer unscented but this was light enough and pleasant and I would buy a large version in a heartbeat if they sold it....See MoreBest under-eye concealers?
Comments (19)I have had some trouble with cakiness and I found the YSL Touche Eclat didn't cake and I used it for years. However, as I got older, I found it wasn't enough coverage (haven't tried the new version). Now I use Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. I love it. Both my DDs use it as well. If the Touche Eclat wasn't so costly, I would probably add a bit of it on the inside corners of my eyes on top of the Nars. It really does give a nice brightening effect. However, I can't really justify paying for both....See MoreRelated Professionals
