Wonderful tributes for Veterans Day, for both the two legged and the four legged variety. I always hate to see animals injured, maimed or killed in human conflicts partly because they have no choice in the matter. Im glad to see them get some well deserved recognition of their contributions and sacrifices.

Watering the front garden yesterday, after days of no watering and extremely hot temps. The only thing that looked bad was the last petunia. Bought some soil today so I could move one or two flowers as the African marigolds are huge, as are the zinnias, and are squeezing out the little purple flowering plant in the middle of them. I can't remember the name.
