jodi, I'll be more than happy to send you some from where I live. They are everywhere. Hold up traffic, don't give a heck about cars, and talk about messy when you are trying to walk the sidewalks where they are, arghhhhhh!

I'm not bragging about a pillow, LOL. Smudge our 15-yr-old Maine Coon, has in the past few months started dragging this pillow off the couch and leaving it in the hallway or the bedroom. He does this every night as soon as we're in bed, and often when we go out. He sings as he's doing it. LOL. It's at least a foot square and I have 'caught' him. He bites the corner and trots down the hall with it beside him. This is from this morning, beside the bed.

summer, the Winchester Cathedral is beautiful. I have David Austin's Charlotte blooming now. I've had to baby it through three years of uncertainty, this June it is healthier looking than ever it has been. My new project for the secret sunken garden. I want to add a monogram above and to the sides of the lion's head. Still brain storming on how to create concrete letters in a Baroque style. I epoxied a garden plaque onto an inverted paver stone I found at Lowes. ha I expect the cement to darken and have an aged look eventually.

kittywhiskers: The nature of those icicles indicate to me that you need more attic insulation and possible sealing of air leaks into the attic. You are in danger of ice dam damages along the outer edges of the roof with possible wetting of the wall. I have already been through that experience with my house until I reroofed with larger anti-ice dam sheets plus having my interior vertical walls sealed and super insulation added to the attic. Result: No more icicles or wall damage. My gas bill dropped 15 % as measured by comparing Btu per degree- heating day. This measure is reasonably comparable. Comparing gross btu per winter month is not very good owing to the wide weather variation possible from one season to the next.
