yes you will stub. but then your feet will learn it's there. If you like it, then get it. my husband and I have built platform beds for us and our son. the bottom portion is inset, but on my sons there is an overhang. i've hit my leg on the corner many times. what helps is if you have a larger space to maneuver around the bed. my sons room is pretty narrow.

For my adjustable bed, I'm using a flat style box skirt that doesn't have the typical fabric/sheet which is normally sandwiched between the box-springs & mattress. The one I have came from Amazon, and there was a couple dozen fabrics and price ranges to choose from. I attached mine with velcro to the bed base. You can actually use any skirt, just cut away the sheet style fabric from the middle, and use heavy duty velcro, or push pins, to attach it to your base. One tip before you purchase, measure the drop/length from the base to the floor. You'll need to know how long the skirt needs to be. And, Amazon offers many different lengths to fit lots of different heights.

The mattress is separted by a bunkie board which sits on box spirngs. we tried to remove box springs but the bed frame has a divider between the twin box springs so matteess would not be stable or level? lmk any ideas! thx!
