Beautiful space! If it were my room, I'd probably be inclined to put the TV on the wall you mention: to the right of the patio doors. It would keep the fireplace a visual focus when walking into the room, but still allow you to enjoy the view. Because of that, I would probably pick a sectional that runs along the right wall and then juts out into the room across from the fireplace. I'm a big fan of "bumper sectionals" since they don't have a back on the end. That would give a better line of sight to the fireplace. If you don't like sectionals, maybe a couch on the wall across from the patio doors / TV wall. Then two chairs facing the fireplace or a love seat if you prefer. I look forward to seeing what you do with the room.

Pleasant room. Like the large windows and all that natural light. Like the coffee table. As for art for the walls, including for the space above the fireplace, don't just rush to put something/anything up to cover a bare spot. Take your time and find something that reflects your personal interests. You could even use upscale wood two drawer filing cabinets as end tables and have them do double duty -- or the three drawer (a shallow top drawer) -- and many have locks to discourage snooping guests from seeing personal items or all those paid bills you're saving for your tax records. The deep file drawers can also store photo albums and/or hats and/or purses -- things other than files -- so they make good bedside tables as well. Note: I truly loathe the drapes-sloppily-dragging-the-floor fad. Consider raising them so the hems are less than an inch above the floor.

Can you do a drawing of the room, with all doors and windows included, with the fireplace, too? Then give the size of the pool table. Does the pool table have to stay right where it is? I have difficulty seeing how to incorporate the fireplace into the sitting area with the pool table where it now sits. It might work better if the pool table is turned 90 degrees and sits in front of the window, instead. Then there can be a couch and chairs sitting in front of the fire, with the TV on the side wall.

Thank you er612 - this is what were thinking as well. Would facing the back of sofa (photo 2) as you enter the room distract from the fireplace? Out of curiosity - what size sofa did you use in the sketch?
