So what you're saying is that the Ventilation guy has suggested building a soffit over the window behind the existing range, then running duct through the soffit and then through top of the upper cabinets, then out through the outside wall on the right. Is that correct? While I suppose this could work, it might end up looking a little a little peculiar at the point where you need to connect the ducting to a ceiling-mounted island hood. Most chimney-style island hoods are designed to accommodate ducting going straight up through the ceiling. Have you considered a telescoping down-draft ventilator that would rise up behind the range? While I always recommend a range hood where one is possible, your kitchen is somewhat unusual, and it might not be the best solution. You indicate that you've chosen a dual fuel Wolf range. Since the oven will be electric, your range won't be releasing nearly as much heat or as many combustion byproducts into the kitchen as an all-gas model. You might be able to get by with a good downdraft exhaust utilizing an island trim on the range. It wouldn't be ideal, but certainly better than no exhaust, and you wouldn't have to contend with installing a hood in a place where it isn't practical. As an aside, your current stove appears to be a drop-in model, which you indicate is in a peninsula. Are you sure a Wolf range will fit into the same space? Most commercial style ranges are somewhat deeper than drop-in models. The new Wolf may project out into the kitchen several inches further that what you have now.

talley_sue, I typed in "wallet purse" into Google and got pages. Most are the "wallet on a string thingy" though but they do have the larger wallet purses. ******* Someone earlier mentioned useing a mens style wallet to reduce bulk in a purse. I would suggest rather getting what is known as a 'European slide wallet'. I have one and they are very thin and lightweight. They look good becasue they are made of very thin leather rather than nylon which looks too sporty for my tastes. They can be slipped into the inside pocket of a suit or slid into the back pocket of jeans or into the tiny inside pocket of a purse. They come in colors. What is nice about slide wallets is that they have a *zippered coin compartment*, something that mens wallets do not have. This is an example of how they look but is not the one I have. We did it!!! After reading all of your suggestions about security, coding and plug-ins, etc., I realized that I was in way over my head technically! I emailed Nephew and offered to pay him to fix and finish this for me. He was so sweet and told me that he'd be more than happy to do it, and no way was he wanting any payment for it. He's such a busy guy, with his job, new house and a great wife. As I mentioned earlier, he was so sweet to help me start this back in December, and I've been trying to finish it up on my own ever since then. But WordPress had me so confused! Anyhoo, I told him what you all suggested and he fixed everything for me! And when he went back in yesterday to make the changes, he said that he was really impressed with what I'd done with the blog and that it looked fantastic. I am so relieved and happy that he likes it, as he does this for a living, working for some tech company in Denver. He told me that he's had to go in and fix or help companies and individuals start up their own websites and blogs and mine is the nicest he's ever seen. And so, many thanks for helping me with this.
