Thanks to all of you for your comments and compliments. Wow, so many nice things! A couple of you asked what the floors are, they are your basic 2.5" red oak floors, not engineered. We just had wood floors installed in the living/dining/stairs last fall (was yucky carpet) and then had them all refinished and stained Minwax Dark Walnut. I absolutely love them It completely changed the look of our house. We bought this house 3 years ago and have completely remolded every inch ourselves. And I am glad so many of you like the paint colors! That was a drama filled episode. They used to be Ralph Lauren's Antique Brown then they were SW Perfect Greige and now Tony Taupe. All within 3 years. Exhausting. But I love the current colors. I used Accessible Beige in the kitchen and I have to say that color is my favorite. I agree about the living room rug and the size. I wish I had gone a size up but hubby would have my head if I bought another right now. The foyer rug has to stay this size (4x6) because I have 3 young boys (all under age 4) who like to push their little cars/carts and do relays through the foyer, they would be very upset if I got something larger that would interrupt their race-track;-) One more question-I want to install a shutter and remove the drape on the single window in the living room. My plan is to buy new panels for the large window in living and in the dining. What are thoughts on having a shutter on just one window? The side of the house faces a tot park and we just want a little more privacy. Plus I love shutters. I just installed them in our family room and am looking for excuses to put them other places. I think 2x3 will be too small. The door is 36". Here is a pic of a cheapo LNT rug that is 24x44. I don't think I'd want it any smaller. I think I'll check Tuesday Morning. I've only seen smaller rugs there--maybe I'll get lucky. Or at least I can get a better feel for what works colorwise--as I'm kinda stumped on this one situated as it is between two other rugs, one of which is a real beauty.

I'll also look for a soft muted rug like aktillery's - what a beautiful room! aprilneverends - thank you :) The agents and stager were actually very impressed with our home and all we have done. They just had a few suggestions for a few rooms to better show the spaces. They're just recommendations though and we're free to take them or not. (Like getting rid of the wall mounted flatscreen in the master that DH took great pains to plan for in the update - probably a good idea but we're just going to have to work around that one - hopefully it will appeal to the male buyers!) I've actually always wanted a rug in the foyer because of the dust brought in though. I've even posted here looking for suggestions because these types of design details aren't intuitive to me, but never got around to getting one. Somehow I think my usual practice of putting an old folded up towel down in front of the door might be a bit of an eyesore when showing the house :) It's actually pretty embarrassing in any circumstance!

The smaller pattern should be on the stairs. When you consider how much of the repeat will show on the stair, the Chateau will look better. It actually gets kind of lost on the stairs as you can't see the pattern repeat well Here's the Chateau, it really pops. But maybe you want it to be more subtle. If so, pick the Damask.
