Have an overall plan and mix colors, textures and patterns according to good design principles. @ciaoginag Do you want to use these two as coordinating rugs? If so, where would each one go? I think the patterns are good together but the colors are not quite right; Chateau is too deep or the Damask too light for them to be perfect together. Might just be the picture. Which colorway are each of them?

No that’s not the color for the damask, just a sample. Comes in so many colors.

I was trying to decide b/t these two for the stairs.

The smaller pattern should be on the stairs. When you consider how much of the repeat will show on the stair, the Chateau will look better.
