Hi, I'm recycling dog ear fence boards to cover my chain link fence and searched for different color fences on the internet and around the neighborhood without much luck. You're right about them mostly being white. I went to HD and collected a bunch of color samples, sat down with DH, and we each picked colors we could live with, then put them together and decided which we could both live with. We took those colors out and looked at them with the plants we have (no dreary winter here in So Cal, but those dark red barns with white trim always look pretty in snowy pics). A lot of colors could have worked, greens, peaches, and lavender greys looked good. Flowers, plants and birds, etc. could be painted on the boards to brighten them up more. We settled on a golden, sunflower yellow. HD had a light tan, yellow looking mis-mixed exterior paint in a 5 gallon drum for $15. The paint guy there told me what colors to mix it with to get close to the color we chose. You may luck out on mis-mixed paint. Search the internet for 'art fence', 'unusual fence', 'wooden fence', and maybe 'snow photos' or 'winter photos'. Maybe because they expect an appliance garage would be left open more often than a regular cab it only comes in a matching interior? I know I'm the only one in the family who seems to know how to close the appliance garage door. Also the only one who closes the pantry door, but that's a separate issue. If it's any consolation, usually matching interior is an upgrade. Hopefully you can get this resolved.

My new build is getting close to complete, they are painting the interior now. I have a tray ceiling in the master bedroom, with crown molding at the bottom of it, and putting tape lighting in the crown cavity to illuminate the tray ceiling area. Six 4" recessed cans surround the tray ceiling, and we are going to put some sort of light or fan in the center of the tray ceiling area. So right now, the whole ceiling is painted white, and the crown trim is like a semi gloss white. Walls in the room are Sherwin Williams accessible beige. I've seen a few pics online where the short walls and ceiling in the tray area were painted a different color, and I like the look. Was thinking about using accessible beige in that area too, or a slightly darker shade of it. But the bedroom is not big, would it make the bedroom appear smaller?

Interesting house because the brick chimney looks old/original and the stone looks newer/applied? I wonder if under the stone is original brick. I definitely would replace the 50’s railings.
