Monday Bloomers
Comments (11)Mantis- I have had INNER VISION for many years and it is doing well. Has increased nicely to clump up. I have it on the daylily slope by my driveway so it does not get any pamering. Nancy and Jean- Thanks. I hardly know what are my own favorites anymore as I have so many daylilies. Everything seems to be doing really well this spring. I pulled some of the California poipies out today so that I had my path back. I just couldn't get thru anymore. They had taken up the entire thing. Still plenty left though :-)...See MoreA Lady, Fuji and several late bloomers for Monday
Comments (19)Wow, that El Desperado is just covered in blooms! I can't pick a favorite yet again, they are all beauties. Willow Dean Smith is super, I love ENEs. Good to know that it and Purify My Heart are from northern hybridizers (I should google them). Ruffled Strawberry Parfait is very nice, I think you mentioned that before that Reckamps don't multiply well. I remember thinking I wouldn't mind that because the space is so tight ;) Love Regal Finale too, reminds me slightly of Night Beacon with that combination of colors, looks great with recurved petals...See MoreMonday Bloomers
Comments (12)Kay, it is about time for it to be wet in your area. I know you have been waiting a long time. Avedon, LATE INTERLUDE and FINIAL FRONTIER are both Hibard intros. Judy, I don't blame you for wanting to see the new blooms. I would be wanting to see them too. Val, those Hibard intros have really done well for me but even FINIAL FRONTIER doesn't have to many buds left....See MoreMonday Bloomers
Comments (16)CTC- The Blue Salvia is INDIGO SPIRES which I plant each spring as it dies each winter here. But I just love INDIGO SPIRES. Nancy, these are all the newer mildew resistant types of phlox and I know I haven't seen any mildew on them yet. Casey, I did post FALL PINK MELLON clump shots before but it just keeps pumping out those blooms. I can't resist them. nat and kay, I don't have any white phlox but have lots of eyed ones. One is really pretty cream with a purple star eye. I do love the new phlox I got this year. Judy, the phlox just keeps blooming forever so I haven't cut it back yet. Celeste, just try to remember to check Olallies website in the spring before things get picked over. As the year progresses more and more daylilies are no longer listed as they sell out for the year. They do need some time to establish but once they are clump size they just bloom like crazy. Debra, the new phlox I think will really look good next year as I mail ordered them this spring and they weren't big plants. One was a local potted buy but of the mail ordered ones, two were potted so not too small. The other three were those bagged dried phlox roots you sometimes see. I had never bought those before and wasn't even sure they would grow at first but they did. Not much bloom but like I said, next year should be really good....See Moreshive
