I am doing SW Lotus Pod in the main living portion of the home. In the dining room a spa blue color. In the kids rooms, pink, spa blue, buttercream yellow and a limey green for the bathroom. Laundry room a buttercream yellow, powder room a spa blue color, master bedroom a taupe and master bathroom a pale blue gray color. (I guess I still need to pinpoint a lot of exact colors yet!) So I guess a lot of colors - all trying to go towards light though, will most likely get colors and have them made up at 75% so it is very soft and almost pastel like.

Diana, Are you saying that gray colors are not available in full spectrum color paints? Only colors and browns? Full spectrum paint uses no black. If you think back to your color theory classes I am sure you will recollect that black absorbs all color wavelengths evenly and completely , white reflects all color wavelengths evenly and completely, gray absorbs some of the color wavelengths and reflects some of the color wavelengths, but a pure neutral gray does this perfectly evenly across the color spectrum, giving you a chromatic value of 0. Brown, tan, beige and cream reflect more yellow, red or orange than blue, green or purple. As for my choice of words, I choose to say things in ways that are easily understood by the masses. If we walked into home depot and asked 10 guys buying lumber which white was dirtier, showing them samples of Cotton Balls and White Dove I am betting all 10 would choose White Dove as the dirtier of the two. If we asked them which white was the most saturated or chromatic white I am betting most would incorrectly choose White Dove because it appears slightly darker, but in reality the chromatic value of white dove is lower than the chromatic value of cotton balls. Most people who have not taken a color theory class and don't work with color on a consistent basis don't understand the difference between shade, tint and tone. They think in terms they understand - a light blue gray or a pink beige. I read an article the other day in Forbes. Take one interior door off its hinges at a time and remove the door knobs and any locks as you paint each one so you can paint all the edges without painting the hardware. Consider stainless steel hinges and door knobs if they are to be replaced (especially for the bathroom and laundry where there will be moisture).. If you are painting the exterior doors and/or storm door frames, Rust O'leum 2x spray dries quickly and you can apply a couple of coats in one long sunny day but you will need really good ventilation for spray paint. As long as you are healthy, no vertigo or dizziness, you might want to pick up a sturdy ladder and try painting the house yourself, one room at a time. If you're painting the ceiling, you could use a roll brush on a long handle. Make sure the walls and kitchen cabinets are really clean if/when you paint them so the paint can go on smoothly. Paint (other than ceiling paint) will NOT hide any imperfections so fix any wall damage issues before beginning painting that wall. ... and wear comfortable clothes you don't mind tossing, including a headscarf. If you're going to try to remove paint from anything you didn't intend for it to be on, do so while the paint is still wet.

We closed on our house today wahoooo! I only got to spend about an hour there but looked quickly at the samples for trim/doors/ceilings. I think I've narrowed it down to three possibilities: BM Simply White, SW Extra White and BM Super White. I thought about BM Chantilly Lace too. Basically, looking at the finishings, my first gut is that BM Simply White looks the best. I just worry it may look too yellow once up on everything. At least that's what I read (and you know how reliable the internet is). First question: has anyone had experience with BM Simply White? Does it just read warm or do you see the yellow in it when it's one trim/doors/ceilings? So I may go that direction, or wonder if I should go with a cleaner white but something close. Something still a little warm... As for the runners up, from what I can see SW Extra White and BM Super White are very similar but Extra White maybe looks a little warmer? Maybe because it has more chroma? Is this understanding accurate, Lori A. Sawaya?? And it seems to me that the order of warmth would go SW Extra White, BM Super White, BM Chantilly Lace... is that a correct reading? Again for context - East/West exposures with a lot of shade. Wall colors aren't chosen but would likely be something along the lines of BM Edgecomb Gray, BM Ballet White, BM Chelsea Gray, BM Natural Cream. Daughter's room will be BM Opal. I'll try to take some pics of the finishings tomorrow but would love any thoughts on this. Thanks!
