Is there a grownup way to add pink to a master bedroom?
Comments (16)I've added pink to our bedroom but it's subtle enough not to be girly. The first thing I'd do is find a lightweight quilt with pink in it to fold at the end of the bed and work from there. It's amazing what one folded blanket with color can do for a whole room when it's on the end of a bed to match accessories with. Any pink can be sophisticated depending on how much you use of certain shades. The good thing is all shades of pink goes well together so you don't have to be limited on one shade. You could go a bit funky like me and get a pink Princess telephone for your side of the bed. I also have a deep pink Moon Clock. :)...See MoreHelp Me decide on Paint Color for Master Bedroom/Bath
Comments (10)To answer your direct questions: Put the darker color behind the bed headboard and then decide if you want one accent wall (usually a lot of contrast) or if you want to have two walls each color. The Santorini Blue is not baby blue, but I would put a color swatch in your room to see how it looks in different light if you decide to go in that direction. Glass Slipper is more ice blue than baby blue. I LOVE the Santorini blue, but thought it was too dark to have on all four walls. Your bedding is very neutral and very pretty. When I look at it I think "irredesence" or opal. Everyone does this differently, but I tend to decide what I want a room to FEEL like and then go from there. For our bedroom I thought "sleeping in the clouds". Hence, I have blues, whites, creams and beige. For our bathroom I wanted "beach spa". I also suggest you look through the bathroom pictures on the bathroom forum. I found several inspirational rooms that worked with the tile and cabinets we had. I think one of the reasons you are struggling is that you are working with "what matches" instead of what look do I love. Love something, make it work in your room. Having said that, I think your tile would work well with blues, tans or many of the greiges. Whatever you decide, you are likely going to need an accent color since your bedding has wonderful texture, but only one color. Again, look at the bathroom forums pictures and here in gallary under "bathrooms". Which rooms catch your breadth or you say to yourself, "I want that feeling". Good luck!...See MoreOpinions On Master Bedroom Paint!
Comments (3)Paint the whole room, including the chair rail and the moldings the navy blue. Believe it or not, it won't make the room feel smaller, just cozy. Add white accents such as a white coverlet and pillows and some pictures matted in white...See Morehelp! i have a pink master bedroom
Comments (52)It's fine to leave the paint for now. I just would not choose future items necessarily based on that color. The color could work......it is just a lot of that one color. What was the reason you chose this color to begin with? What color were you looking to choose? What other colors do you have in your home? Rooms should not all be the same in a home, but there should be a flow and consistency from one room to the other. Here is a possible color scheme for you, using the desert as your backdrop....See Morereesepbuttercup SLC, Utah 6b
