Of the 2 grays, nimbus would be a lot easier to live with as the van courtland has a dark undertone, so if you're worried about light, go lighter. The nimbus would be pretty in the bath too.

bleeker beige is pretty, but again the alexandria is very dark. You would need a fair amount of light colored trim, furnishings and fabrics to keep it from getting too dark.

Pictures of the space would help as trim color, floor color and furnishings make a difference especially if you are going with the deeper tones.

Usually in a bedroom, I start with the bedding as it's so much easier to match paint to it rather than the other way around.... do you have any idea what bedding you want?

Love your colors! Here are my comments, take them or leave them:

A single color for all 4 bedroom walls and the bathroom is too monochrome for me. Maybe not for you? I would choose a color for the bedroom, painting one or two walls one or two shades darker. We have a stepped cathedral ceiling in our master bedroom too and put the lighter color on the stepped part, keeping the ceiling white. This worked well with our color choices. We put BM Santorini Blue on two adjacent walls and Glass Slipper on the other two plus on the stepped ceiling.

I would then choose a different color, one that flows nicely with your master bedroom colors. If you make them the same intensity they will flow very well. We used two colors in the master bath too, but only because one color was highly reflective. We used SW Sea Salt and Comfort Gray. They flow nicely with each other and because they are all gray based (like your colors) they are very relaxing and serene. Good luck!

I have now eliminated the van cortland blue from the equation. I went to the house today and was worried it may be too dark, even with the cathedral ceiling. I was liking the idea of a color due to the fact that my bedding is warm tan and same with tiles. One thing I was told was that my tiles have pink in them and if I were to do a warm tan in the bedroom/master bath, I would want something to neutralize or not bring out the pink. Someone had suggested bennington gray but than this is not an exact match to the bedding. That is when I thought perhaps I should do a blue or gray paint color that is complemented by the tannish color of my bedding and bathroom. I think the Van Cortland goes well with tan color of my bedding but not sure about the Nimbus Gray.

To answer your direct questions: Put the darker color behind the bed headboard and then decide if you want one accent wall (usually a lot of contrast) or if you want to have two walls each color. The Santorini Blue is not baby blue, but I would put a color swatch in your room to see how it looks in different light if you decide to go in that direction. Glass Slipper is more ice blue than baby blue. I LOVE the Santorini blue, but thought it was too dark to have on all four walls.

Your bedding is very neutral and very pretty. When I look at it I think "irredesence" or opal. Everyone does this differently, but I tend to decide what I want a room to FEEL like and then go from there. For our bedroom I thought "sleeping in the clouds". Hence, I have blues, whites, creams and beige. For our bathroom I wanted "beach spa". I also suggest you look through the bathroom pictures on the bathroom forum. I found several inspirational rooms that worked with the tile and cabinets we had.

I think one of the reasons you are struggling is that you are working with "what matches" instead of what look do I love. Love something, make it work in your room.

Having said that, I think your tile would work well with blues, tans or many of the greiges. Whatever you decide, you are likely going to need an accent color since your bedding has wonderful texture, but only one color. Again, look at the bathroom forums pictures and here in gallary under "bathrooms". Which rooms catch your breadth or you say to yourself, "I want that feeling". Good luck!

I think the bedroom in the link looks lovely with nimbus grey. Is this the "feeling" you like? The bedding isn't as opalescent as yours, but I like yours better! Blue/white/cream/brown and a punch of red.

Ooohh, my husband may like the Modern Family element...the cortland blue bedroom. It's his favorite show! :-) If I were to do a contrasting lighter color for Cortland, would it just be reducing the intensity of the color by 50%. I think this is what people may do with Historical colors from BMoore but not positive.

I would get samples of the courtland blue, wedgewood gray and woodlawn blue (they are all on the same BM strip) and put up a few samples on each wall and see what you like.

BM website says it goes well with Kittery point green. We used this color in my son's Bedroom and it is a beautiful color, but not one I would use for a Master Bath. Maybe Van alen green (one shade lighter) would be nice in your bathroom. Or, maybe a bronze beige would look nice? However, any bronzed beige or "irridescent beige" is going to be yellow or gold based. Not sure how that will look with your "pink" tile. On my monitor your tile looks yellow based, but you have to see how these colors work in your rooms.

Again, what feeling are you going for? If you like the Modern family bedroom, I'd pull something from there for the bathroom, but make sure you want that feel in your bathroom. I would not do blue on the walls in both rooms b/c that is too much the same for me. But again, maybe not for you? Maybe color match your bedding color, or a shade or two darker for the bathroom walls, but then bring in blue towels and burnt orange accents in the bathroom? It all depends on the lighting and wood tones in your bathroom.

You know what, I don't think my tile has any pink. It is definitely yellow. This lady thought my tile had pink undertones and pink undertone paint would bring the pink out. I just don't see it.

I will see If I can find a nice irridescent bronzie beige.
