Kitchen Island - Carrera or Calcatta

Ali

I'm using soapstone on the perimeter counters with white painted cabinets and matte white 4 x 12" tile back splash. All along have been planning on using white Carrera marble on my island painted F & B French Gray. My husband went to look at the Carrera slab and fell in love with a Calcatta marble. I like it too but it costs 3 times as much but in the whole scheme of things its ok. I just can't decide. I don't know if its just that I've been picturing the Carrera for so long and I'm afraid of change. Also as you all know Marble is easily damaged and I'm expecting that with the Carrera. (Character) I don't know if I would feel the same about damaged expensive Calcatta. FYI they are both honed. I have to decide with the next couple of days. Help!!!

I'm afraid these aren't the best pictures.
