Anyone have Pic.s of bathrooms with ming green marble?
Comments (8)Thank you! The big grab bar is from the Toto Soiree collection. The little one inside the shower is from Smedbo. Yes, the floor is a carrera and ming marble mosaic. We considered basketweave, but I'm glad we went with the pinwheel pattern. (Ironically our original prewar yellow and black bathroom had a pinwheel pattern on the floor too - but this is much prettier!) We've kind of decided not to use sealer on it in the future, because our contractor warns that it will turn the grout yellow. Any thoughts on that? The big surprise for me - going with ming green - is that the greens are so lively and varied, especially on the big tiles....See MoreDoes anyone have Cultured Marble shower/tub surround? Pics?
Comments (5)No Photos yet! :>( This is becoming the gall darn reno from H***! Am hoping to nag- I mean convince DH to get walls taped and plastered today- so then I can prime and Cultured Marble guy can come in to do final measure. I am so ready to have this bathroom done! We do have a working toilet and floor down- yeah- but DS arrives home tomorrow, and I guess he'll be showering upstairs (again!:>). Maybe, just maybe he'll have a shower before he heads back to college! (In two weeks). Would love to pick a paint colour, but as shower base is NOT the colour we picked- am waiting till the walls are in, and then will paint (would have preferred doing the painting first) According to CM guy, walls will be waterproof, priming is to cover the blue board so colour doesn't show through marble. Muscat, what is the trim around your surround? Looks very nice!...See MoreDoes anyone have Shadow Storm Quartzite/Marble?
Comments (67)Shadow Storm Quartzite Marble is a unique and rare natural stone that has been used for centuries in the construction of monuments and buildings. This type of marble is highly sought after due to its distinctive dark gray and white veining, which adds elegance to any space it is placed in. Homeowners and builders alike are on the hunt for Shadow Storm Quartzite Marble, but finding it can be difficult. The marble's popularity has grown significantly over the years as more people discover its beauty, so locating a quarry that stocks this particular material can be challenging. Additionally, it may take time to find either slabs or tiles large enough for larger projects. As such, many have turned to online forums where they might be able to find someone who does have Shadow Storm Quartzite Marble available - allowing them access to this sought-after stone at a more reasonable cost. Comments (6)*Not a tile pro* This looks like haze. It looks like Mapei flex color is a urethane/acrylic grout, which is notoriously quick drying and leaves haze that is tough to remove. There are urethane haze removers out there, but I would test it on your marble first to make sure it doesn’t damage....See More
