I used Cloud White. Since I was using an oil based paint, I wanted to make sure whatever I chose, would look okay as it "yellowed". I was choosing between Cloud White and White Down. Both looked great with my granite. So, in the end, Cloud White (not White Cloud) won. Last night as I was sitting in the kitchen staring at the next part of the project that needed to be completed....I noticed how it was a nice creamy look in the evening light. Yes, use a spare cabinet door as a sample board, and paint it. BM now can make any color up on the pint size for around $6. Not that this will really show anyting off to you, but here is my kitchen in progress: I think all whites look alike on the computer anyway!

Hi Geomeg, I just saw this thread and thought I would weigh in! The Bone White color looks very dark when it is next to something white. The only reason I was brave enough to go for it in my DARK kitchen is because the rest of my house has Bone White trim and it pretty much reads "cream." It was easy to just make it all match. The photo of my kitchen is deceiving, light-wise. EVERY light is on! I have very little natural light. Nutherokie's photo (WOW, how did I miss seeing pics of that incredible kitchen???!!) is taken in natural light, and the color looks very true-to-life on my screen. Good luck with your choices--I don't think you can go wrong with the Natural Wicker, Bone White or Navajo White if you're looking for the cabinetry to read "cream."

A lot of people do Shaker Beige (or another neutral) throughout because they have an open floor plan, which makes it difficult to transition colors in the home's public spaces. If your rooms are separate, as is common in older homes, then you definitely have the flexibility to vary the color from room to room. If you are concerned about all beige being boring, I would definitely think about varying the color from room to room over accent walls. When varying the color from room to room, you need to think about flow and sight lines. For example, my living room opens to the dining room with a 6 foot trimmed opening. All my trim is white throughout the house for continuity. My living room is a muted mid-tone blue and my dining room is chocolate brown. The living room has some brown wood furniture and the dining room has blue curtains, and both rooms have green accents, so even though they are painted different colors, they coordinate. The view into the DR works with the living room decor, and vice versa. If the rooms in question are separated by a hallway, or there is no line of sight, you can get away with colors that don't coordinate as well.

@Jan Moyer Thank you for the information! This bathroom is also gorgeous!! I am happy to report that I have all my final selections made (besides paint). I have lived with my tile samples a few days and I will be going with a 12 x 24 dolomite look porcelain for the bathroom floor and shower walls. The shower floor will be a 1 inch hexagon mosaic that coordinates with the 12 x 24. I also have my sample of the vanity which is listed as "graphite." I am going to do the top of the shower bench, shower curb, and vanity countertop in white quartz which has a slight gray speckle to it if you look really closely. I didn't like the veining of the faux marble quartz and thought it would clash too much with the dolomite look in the shower. I am attaching a photo of the samples for reference. In person the tile looks like it has a taupe or greige vein to it. Do you have any BM suggestions with all of this? I definitely want something on the lighter/white side. I will also have recessed lighting and an LED medicine cabinet with polished chrome faucet and shower fixtures. The sink and toilet are both Kohler white. Thank you again!
